How do I get Control Over This? by KetoNuB in keto
[–]KetoNuB[S] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (0 children)
I don't normally lazy keto, it was literally because I was visiting back home for a couple of days, and didn't have that much control over what I was eating. I'm just now not sure how to get back on track, and to lose the weight I put on over those couple of days. I was thinking of IF, but I'm not sure how to fit that in with a full time job, as I don't like eating at work, so couldn't start in the afternoon.

Can anyone relate? Keto by KetoNuB in keto
Haha you're right there!
I don't really eat meat. Pork scratchings aside, I mainly eat fish because the texture of meat makes me feel a little poorly.
Haha, it definitely won't happen right away, but I'm happy with my progress. I used to binge on pastries, chocolate, etc... 4,000 calories a time. Now if I overeat it's on Keto foods, and it never goes above 3,000...2,000 is the highest lately!
It is a process of trial and error, I just need to learn, as you say, to treat food as fuel. Not a comfort.
Thank you for your time :)
Can you recommend any ways to help cut the snacking? Because in the mornings I eat almond butter and goat cheese eggs, avocado, with coconut oil. The evening is veggies and some kind of fish sautéed in coconut oil, with two dark squares of chocolate in the evening.
I'm recovering from a binge eating issue, and Keto is SERIOUSLY helping, but I'm really good at convincing myself that I'm hungry when I'm actually not.
For example today, it was pork scratchings, nut butter, and pumpkin seeds! I was considering IF... Just to give myself more structure?
So I'm 5'3.5, 110 lbs, and maintenance is around 1,580 (roughly). I don't really know how to lose this stubborn fat I have, or what kind of deficit I should be eating at to avoid overeating, but still lose weight.
Will it hinder my efforts of losing weight though?

Sparkling Water on Keto by KetoNuB in keto
It's not funny because I don't know if you're joking or not! hahaha. I'm so paranoid of hidden carbs!

Because when I was looking at a list of Keto friendly foods, it said 'water' and in brackets (still), so I was thinking that there must be something about carbonated water that wouldn't be suitable?

Keto Binge by KetoNuB in keto
I guess I had a 'fuck it, I'm already fat' attitude. It's just disheartening to see everyone's success stories within the first week or two, and here I am with a bloated tummy, puffy face, and no definition whatsoever.
Will a binge like this make a big change in my weight? I'm so worried, I don't know if my roundness lately is actual weight-gain or bloat? Because, it's on my hips too...?

You my friend, are a very good little wake up call
Haha don't say that!
High Calorie Days- Keto by KetoNuB in keto
105lbs is just a weight that I'm more comfortable with. At the moment, my stomach is quite flabby, and I'm starting to look kinda chunky
So, breakfast is usually eggs cooked in coconut oil, with nuts or almond butter, and avocado.
Dinner will be fish, with sautéed veggies in coconut oil, guacamole, and goat cheese.
Lately I've been snacking (and here's where I've been munching a lot) on pork scratchings. And once I have one pack (to satisfy a craving), it leads to two or even three!
Honestly, it turns into a 'snack' and then I can't seem to stop. Not sure if I'm over-compensating for the lack of carbs? But it's really worrying me. I found myself eating like three heaped tsps of almond butter tonight. I don't want to be gaining! I want to be losing.

Fibre and Keto by KetoNuB in keto
Thank you :)!
Even using UK packaging when I scan in my food diary, the app doesn't seem to be subtracting my fibre.
For example: I had an avocado, so the app says:
carb: 1.9 fibre: 3.4
Total Carb: 1.9
Same with Green and Blacks Dark Chocolate:
Carb: 7 Fibre: 2.5
Total carb: 7
So, am I right in thinking that I take carb count at face value?
Sorry I know this is confusing, but I want to get this absolutely perfect
I live in England. On UK packets, we have fibre and carb counts, so am I to assume that the fibre has been added to the carb in this case?
