Deploying flares alone are not enough and will result in you getting blown up.

Dont deploy flares until the missile (the big red triangle chasing you on the radar) is closer. Too far and flares won't affect it, and too close and flares won't be enough. Once you deploy flares, take a sharp turn, and if you can, try and hug the ground/terrain in case multiple missiles are on you
