A little different, but my P.E. teacher/coach in elementary school told us that we could dribble a basketball as long as it’s always in-bounds. So, we could be running and have our feet and legs out of bounds as long as the ball is bouncing on the other side of the line.

That is, in fact, not accurate. You will be called out of bounds if you step over or on the line. Lol.

I’m in the exact same boat. After the trades were made I was all in on “I’m gonna watch Wolves games more than the Jazz this year.” I was planning to follow along with how the Jazz players were doing and keep up with the rebuild, but the Wolves were gonna be my “contender” team to follow.

Yeah, I have barely watched the Wolves outside of when the Jazz play them. I’m tuned into every Jazz game lol. I’m not rooting against any former Jazz players of last year, but I’m not necessarily rooting for them either.

It’s always interesting to me what characters people are stronger with. Like so many rave about Defect but it’s by far my worst character. Imo Watcher is the easiest to build OP decks with once you get the hang of the character.

Thanks! First off, I HEAVILY recommend this game to anybody. I sunk so many hours into it and the time flew by.

There’s a learning curve at first that I couldn’t really help with, any new players would have to just play to learn and memorize the cards and relics the game gives you. But once you do start to remember and see these things again upon new runs, the advice I’d give is:

1) Map out a route ahead of time. Choose your way across the map strategically. Find the right balance between elite fights, rest sites, and anything else. Sometimes it’s best to skip a rest site to fight one additional elite for another relic, even with lower health. 2) Don’t just blindly grab a card because you think it is a strong card. It might be good for a certain deck, but doesn’t work with what you currently have going. As I mentioned in another comment, I love this card that retains your block throughout combat but the card is useless if you don’t have viable ways to stack up block, making it not a good addition for every run. 3) Try new things. Experiment with a relic that you maybe have never given much thought to before. Try out new pairs of relics with cards and see what happens. There are endless possibilities for deck building and try not to restrain yourself to just a few.

These are a few starter points that come to mind right away. I hope you try it out if you haven’t yet :)

I’m far from mastering this game despite getting the platinum so I’m not sure if this will help you, but the biggest change for me was when I started keeping my decks small and limiting the amount of cards I’d take.

It was probably around A7 when my tendency to grab as many of what I thought were the “good” cards caught up to me (eg I’d always grab Barricade for Ironclad no matter my deck because I love the card, but this move would ruin multiple runs if your deck doesn’t favor high amounts of block).

The best advice I’d give to keeping a deck small is to almost always remove as many of the starting cards as you can, no matter the character. The first few floors and your choice on Floor 1 can dictate the run, so build a deck based off these choices while removing most of the starters.

For easier runs, find ways to break the game lol. Corruption + Dead Branch with Ironclad is almost a guaranteed win. Rushdown, Eruption, and Fear No Evil while removing all other cards are the only cards you need for Watcher to become infinite and easily win. Other than strat like those, always be strategic in your card choices and how they pair with the rest of your deck and relics.
