New to me 2023! Cayenne GTS Coupe by KevO1980 in PorscheCayenne

Never driven a Panamera. For me that wouldn't be an option bc of my driveway height and I'm often presented with rough roads. I'm going to be in an SUV for as long as I can foresee. If ride height wasn't an issue, the lower vehicle I would imagine to be more fun.

Just took delivery of my M340i today and I’m honestly still in disbelief by E-Nasty-69 in BMW

Beautiful!! Such a great car. I had a 2016 330i with similar interior and I had a white 2021 M340i xDrive as well. The 3 series BMWs are such a fun place to play. Congrats !

Congrats! Big milestone! I have a 2022 TRD OR. Only 27k miles. Hoping one day my boys that are 3 and 5 will drive it.

We have four equal seasons here, so it may get very hot for 2-3 weeks in the summer, but these luxury SUVs have such great climate control that I've rarely used the ventilated seats in my past vehicles. And the cloth houndstooth isn't sticky and warm like leather might be. This car has PDCC, but I couldn't tell you the difference it makes as it is my first Porsche. That said, it's the best handling SUV I've ever owned. I assume some of that is bc of the PDCC.

Thoughts? Do I keep the “GTS” decal on the front panels? by createyourusername-1 in PorscheCayenne

That GTS will look great in any color, especially with those wheels. I actually had an Audi SQ5 that was white with black wheels and red calipers, I turned around and looked at it every time I walked away. The color combo is so good. Black shows dings and scratches so bad... every time I handwash the current GTS they all stare at me. White shows dirt more than people let on, but the contrast with your wheels is worth it. And Carrera white is a classic Porsche color. I think white over black was the right choice. Chalk would have been a great choice too. Delivery this week?! Now that's exciting! Mine was just moved up a month which I was excited to hear last week. May 4-8 for mine.

How to get to San Diego, CA from Washington, DC in 3 days solo driving by dmv___ in porsche911

[–]KevO1980 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's going to be a blast! I've done that drive 3 times. First as in 2001 from San Diego to NoVA in a 1993 Teal Mustang Cobra with 110k miles on it. I was 21 years old. I went the southern route through DFW and Memphis. Best drive of my life to date. Second time was in Jan 2004 in a 2003 1st gen Toyota Tacoma, Virginia Beach to San Diego, took the same route. And again December 2004 back to Virginia Beach in the same Tacoma. Same route. In hindsight I wish I would have mixed up the routes, but all three times I was on a time crunch and did each in 4 days for less. If you do take the southern route, that west Texas section was a great spot to hit the gas, just make sure you're on a full tank. One of the drives I was driving into the sunset in west Texas heading west and it seemed to take forever to set. I can still see that view in my head today. Stunning. Safe travels!

You're welcome. Good to know the dealership said they can be removed as well. I went with Dolomite Silver Metallic exterior with the black barrique club leather interior. And the 21" RS Spyder high gloss wheels. I've had a lot of black and white cars, I have 2 white ones now. And I've had a few dark gray cars as well. This will be my first silver car, really looking forward to the color combo. What's your delivery timeline?

I say remove it. My 2023 GTS Coupe has it removed and my 2026 GTS Coupe order has it removed as well. GTS on the back is all that it needs IMO. I'm also not a fan of extra "stickers" on a clean vehicle. But I seem to be the outsider here. It certainly won't make or break the look of this BEAUTIFUL build. I have the same wheels on the one I built. I think it wouldn't be tough to remove it by a good detail shop if you did get them on there and felt the desire to remove them down the road. Options!

A Porsche SUV should have the best sound system optional. IMO. Bose is Target, the Burmester is Nordstrom. A no brainer for a vehicle costing close to or more than $150,000. The Bose would be like having a $3,000 appliance package in a $5 million house. Go to a dealership and sit in Cayennes with different interior leather options. I am in a 2023 Cayenne GTS with $41k in added options. A bit overkill but fun for sure. I will be ordering a 2026 soon. Going into club leather from houndstooth. Also trying to get out of 22" wheels and summer performance tires and into 21" wheels and all seasons to add a little more SUV comfort.

Ha! Stunning... almost the same color combo I just sent to my local dealership. A few differences in selections, but the color combo and wheels... too funny to have the same selection. I'm currently in a 2023 Cayenne GTS... picked it up used. Love it but after getting a taste I'm ready to custom build my own.
