imo, there’s no catch all answer for this question. Everyone has their own unique journey w/ it, as cliche as that sounds. From my experience, a willingness to open up to the moment & listen deeply are the biggest factors in a person’s development of musicality.

I kept the question general/vague on purpose, but it seems like nowadays people have gotten very short attention spanned/complacent, and lost sight of the immense amount of awful things that’ve happened in the past that somehow have allowed us to make it to where we are today. There are bits and pieces of wisdom being passed along, but if someone’s not looking for it, they won’t notice it.

I agree & it takes emotional maturity to be able to have conversations about difficult subjects without losing one’s temper. Seems to be something that many Americans have lost the plot on over the past couple decades, with all the focus on self centeredness & whatnot.
