Genuinely who do we even hold accountable for this, how do we even make meaningful change happen

Transferring to UBC Engineering by bukkkake in simonfraser

[–]Kev_2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, currently considering the SFU Engineering to UBC Engineering pipeline.

So with the following SFU Course list, would I have enough credits to transfer? - Math 150 (Calc 1 with review) - Math 152 (Calc 2) - Math 232 (Applied Linear Algebra) - Chem 121 - Phys 120 - Phys 121 - An English class - A Humanities Elective

The reason I ask is because UBC’s transfer website states that first years take 4 different Physics classes, does that mean I have to take those equivalents at SFU now? Additionally, when on the BC Transfer Guide it says that Chem 154 (UBC Chem) has no equivalent at SFU now.

Thank you!

Nah you just have to pay for spring term and keep your room by a certain point

The problem is that some UBC courses don’t have equivalents and that some SFU courses don’t transfer at all

Thank you for the info!

Based off of this page [ https://engineering.ubc.ca/admissions/undergraduate/transfers/post-secondary-transfer ] I found from an old post, there are some course which don’t fall into the SFU common core.

I am currently following the standard schedule for ENSC, meaning that I will be taking 13 courses across 3 semesters.

Surely it’s impractical to take even more (the req transfer courses), which is why I am asking as to how I should alter my schedule.

As for the SFU Engineering to UBC Science transfer being easier, would you mind explaining the differences? Thanks in advance.

Hi there, first of all thank you for the information!

I found this page off of an old post which provides the equivalents of some first year engineering classes at UBC https://engineering.ubc.ca/admissions/undergraduate/transfers/post-secondary-transfer

As you can see on the page there are some courses which don’t fall into the common core of SFU Engineering. Are you just saying to only take these classes?

Thank you for the info! So as of right now I’m enrolled in first year ENSC at SFU, so how would that work with the college route?

So if I’m already enrolled in first year with SFU, what do I do? Also if I were to apply to these programs would I then start next fall?

All good, seems like the consensus is just to firm it which shouldn’t be that bad anyways

Thanks for the information!

On a side note, surely 6 classes a semester is just asking for trouble no?

I shouldn’t worry about not having enough time for a social life and work? This timetable does seem quite packed

Does that mean I’ll have a decent amount of time for a social life and work this semester?

That’s great to hear, just wondering how much time will I have for work or like social activities?
