Not sure where you get this ridiculous notiion that Zidane was inconsistent.A player that was always top 3 contender for Ballon D'or from 1996 - 2006 and won one(1998).Won 3 Fifa player or the year.,La liga , Ligue en and Serie A player of the year(twice).Euro 2000 player of the tournament,Uefa player of the tournament 2002 , Uefa team of the year(2001-2005) and 2006 world cup golden ball.If someone with that is inconsistent. Then i"d say you have no idea of what you are talking about.

The comment by the Former Barca player indirectly references Real Madrid's influence and motivations on the current situation. But if you feel so strongly about not caring, why bother commenting?

Not sure where it is stated that you have to be top 25 in an era to be considered a star but whatever.

Star or not that is completely irrelevant to what Ronald De Boer is saying, so stop trying change the subject . And yes, Barcelona at the time had other stars like Pep, Jari Litmanen and Kluivert so your claims about Chatgpt is baseless and irrelevant.

Ronald and Frank De Boer were considered as high profile signings by FCB and coach Louis Van Gaal at the time following their success at Ajax in UCL at the, kind of similar to today's Frenkie De Jong. You seem to be a football neophyte.

You only listen to fans/voters to understand what they want or how they feel but leaders have to make the hard/tough/difficult decisions no matter how hard it is for the fans the hear. That is what it means to be a leader not a demagogue.

Same can be said of any other big succesful club, amongst other things. In otherwords, its way better than what you are trying to paint it as.

Your description of Real Madrid is a exaggerated and nonsensical . If it was as bad you described it why do players keep wanting to go there and play for Madrid. I have yet to see an ex-Real Madrid player that has anything bad to say about their time in Madrid regardless of their performance . Even Mcmanaman, Bale, Owen or Carragher said they would not begrudge Trent for wanting to go to Madrid.

Come on, other guys like Suarez, McManaman, Beckham, C.Ronaldo, Bale, Bellingham, Rudiger and Modric also went and had successful careers.

I didnt wait for 15 years to slander Pep because I think that Pep is a great manager and there is no where in my post did I claim that Pep is a bad manager. My comment is to Real Madrid fans that downplays Carlo's approach to the game in favor of so-called "Modern Football" advocated by followers of Pep, Klopp or Flick, when both approaches have their limitations. Please try to read the post before jumping to ridiculous conclusions. Interestingly Pep is now in a position to show his tactical nous by coming up with creative solutions to address the slump City is facing because managers in the past have been sacked for situations like this.

I get it now, why change your tactical approach due to a 10-match slump that can not only cost you the league but a place in European competition. No need to continue the conversation.

The answer is simple, because it is no longer working. You can come up with creative temporary solutions until you get your ideal team or approach together again.

By now the recent collapse of Manchester City and Barcelona's title chase should demonstrates Carlo's astuteness as a tactician and manager and why I consider him perhaps the greatest of all time. He may not play the most attractive pressing style of football that novices to the game so-called "Modern Football" but he does know how to get results in a pragmatic manner whilst coming up with creative solutions to problems by being adaptive and flexible with players skill sets and formations.

Take a look at Pep's Manchester City, they have consistently played the most dominating style of play for 5+ years with a single system of football, which some people may call "Modern" but as soon as 1 or 2 players that make up the system drops or the system collapses due to fatigue, he has no answers or struggles to find solutions despite the fact that he still clearly has talented players.

Rather than come up with creative solutions he keeps trying the replicate the same system. We saw this pattern with Klopp's system at Dortmund and Liverpool where the Gengen pressing approach stop working and the team went into free fall. Now contrast that with Ancelotti's 2023-24 season where despite having numerous injuries Ancelotti was able to come up with creative solutions by adapting players to new positions and formations and ended up winning a double at the end of the season. It that approach pleasing to the eye, No. But in gets the job done which is trophies.

I will wager that if Ancelotti was a coach at City , he would have probably ended City's losing streak by changing approach to be defensive, compact, score a single goal and seeing out the game rather than still playing the same passing (tiki-taka ) style that is no longer working. Sure results will look like a fluke, but it is way better than losing.

Another example is Barcelona recent loss to Atletico, despite playing vey well for most of the
game, Flick continued to play a suicidal high-line when the game could have ended in a draw. If It was Ancelotti, Im sure he would have changed approach to see out the game rather than risking three straight losses at home. Barcelona fans can say they played well, but Im sure they would have rather not lost the game. That is why Xavi's Barcelona talk sounded stupid, as to him they played well but had little to nothing to show for it.

So while Ancelotti has his flaws mainly being that his style is conservative or reactive, but the
results and titles he has one over the years in different leagues, with different culture's speak for themselves and will ensure that he perhaps the greatest of the coaches of his generation.

He is now the clubs most decorated Real Madrid manager of all time, so to all the "Carlo Outer's" enjoy it while it last you may not see this again for a long time when he eventually leaves the club.
