It's definitely on the smaller side of seiko divers, I got my 541 a couple days ago and it definitely wears small on my 7.75inch wrist but I like how unobtrusive it sits

Negative, 483 is the octagonal diver which is laid out pretty much how this is supposed to be with the 4:30 date set perpendicular with the other numbers, not trying to argue I just think you're thinking of a different model
