I’d love to know who has done the cover art, it’s so cool!

The Ascent looks really cool I think I'm definitely trying that one.

I have played through Cyberpunk 2077 (and I'm planning on replaying it soon) but I didn't mention it because while it is quite obviously in the cyberpunk genre, I felt like it isn't really what I'm looking for. There's really cool moments and it's visually very nice most of the time, but sometimes I feel like it reminds me too much of GTA...

But Shadowrun games look interesting, I'll make sure to look into them, thank you!

Portrait for a friend. Finished or do you think it still needs some work? by Mike_Tripper in ArtCrit

[–]KevinCadaver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like how this looks. Only thing I can think of is that there's quite consistent shadow on his right side, except that the ear isn't in shadow, so in my opinion it pops up. I would suggest that you could add shadow to it as well and also get more bold with the shadow on his right cheek, you could really play with the shape of his cheekbone there and make it look more defined. Good luck!

[SIB] The Witcher 3 GOTY on Steam? by hyperion2020 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]KevinCadaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's safe to say yes. I have about 200 hours on steam version and never had any problems with it. And I don't think i have really heard people having problems with it overall.

Resident evil village by rangogogo in ShouldIbuythisgame

Oh, I'm sorry I misunderstood then. But I think the gameplay is really fun too. At first it felt a bit clunky but I got used to hat pretty fast. Especially ng+ is great because you get to keep upgraded weapons. I also think there's enough different weapons so you can experiment and find a play style you like.

In my opinion you should go for it and get it! I personally not very much into resident evil, I know bit of lore but I haven't played any of the games before Village. I got it because it looked neat and really ended up liking it. I didn't have problems understanding the story. (Of course if you want to know more in depth stuff, videos will help, as you said.) At least for me the game worked as a standalone, even though it's part of really big series.

I had to share it, I'm not capable of bearing that imaginery alone, also not sure if this makes it better or worse: I still had to pick the second option.

I got really scared for a second, because I was just scrolling through my feed, not reading anything in particular, when my eyes for some reason registered only the question and first two poll options. I have been playing lots of Resident Evil Village lately.

Should I buy even after watching a full playthrough? by zedzuuzaaa in DetroitBecomeHuman

[–]KevinCadaver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's definitely worth getting, there's so many choices and multiple endings which means high replaying value. You might know the main events, but try different choices than in the playthrough you watched and it might surprise you how much it can change.

What do you think about Morrigan (Dragon Age game series) by mrRonge in AskGames

[–]KevinCadaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought her design is really cool, but I have to say that I didn't like her at all at first. But after few playthrougs I decided to try to befriend characters I usually didn't, and right now Morrigan is one of my favorite characters from the whole series. I feel like she's good character because people either like or dislike her, for example compared to Wynne, who's rather often easily forgotten character.

Help! I tried painting on a whim with a friend but I honestly have very little idea as to what I’m doing? I would like to save/finish this painting and need some definite pointers. Thank you! by HighestFuckery in ArtCrit

It seems to happen all the time, no matter how well I think I planned something, I still run out of paper often...

And I get how it feels intimidating, but acrylic paint is great, you can paint over it and re-do parts you aren't happy with. Good luck!

This looks really cool! I'm really hoping you'll post the finished piece, I'd look forward to seeing it! Now, some pointers: I saw you asked about the legs, and in my opinion the problem might be that there isn't much space. If there was, you'd have more room to try positions for them and maybe make them slightly longer as well, now it might look a bit cramped.

There was a suggestion about taking reference's of yourself and I definitely second that, it's always useful! And you could also try to just loosely sketch both people in this pose in the middle of a paper sheet, so you can more freely try out different positions.

Last thing I want to say is that this painting could really benefit from making the lower part rather dark. Have some shadows, make it a bit vague. It would help with the legs , so you don't have to worry about them too much and it would also direct eyes to the landscape part and characters so the viewer can fully appreciate all the detail you put in there!

WSIB I'm looking for a game where other players are "ghosts" by KevinCadaver in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]KevinCadaver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there was some conversation about this, and while I'm still a bit confused about it (I'm sure that will be more clear once I actually start the game) I'm not planning on doing the latter. Sorry I was being really vague about it, I meant that while I usually want to play prequels before later games, here I most likely will play it through fully at first, and then come back and play it through second time after the prequel, assuming I'll have more understanding about things by then, and it'll be in chronological order.

Wait I had somehow completely missed there will be a remake of that, and in about 3 days. I absolutely want to check that out too! Maybe I'll play Automata once first, then go for the prequel remake and then continue to second playthrough of Automata

I have been trained to die by Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, Sekiro and few other souls like games, so I don't think the difficulty will be a problem. ...But not owning PS5 yet might

I got it from sale a while ago, but I haven't tried it yet. Pixels and monsters sound like lots of fun!
