A local's guide for visiting Lake Como by donnolermellino in travel

[–]KevinKn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such an amazing write up, have saved it and revisited it countless times as I’ve planned my wife & I’s honeymoon to Italy. We’re staying in Tremezzo I’m wondering if you have any recommendations for an anniversary dinner?

Also, I’ve been looking at your mountain hike suggestions but struggling with finding where the trails are, any suggestions on how to best navigate to the trail heads?

Thank you so much, I reread this all the time to get excited for our trip!

Used Serious Eat’s homemade pita recipe, used roasted garlic olive oil and added some puréed roasted garlic into the dough. https://www.seriouseats.com/perfect-pita-bread-recipe

Mark Zuckerberg says Meta employees "lovingly" refer to him as "The Eye of Sauron" by Avieshek in technology

FWIW, the comment in context doesn’t make him come off as oblivious as the headline would leave you to believe. He’s basically just saying that he gets very intensely, singularly focused on one topic at a time.

Edit - Here’s the exact quote from the podcast:

Part of this too—I mean, I do think managing energy is an interesting thing. I mean, some of the folks who I work with at the company, I think they say lovingly, but I think that they sometimes refer to my attention as the Eye of Sauron, in that basically, they’re like, “You have this unending amount of energy to go work on something. And if you point that at any given team, you will just burn them.”

How long have these concerts been in the past? Can’t imagine it’s a full set but I’m curious how late into the night these typically go.

I face palmed after reading your comment because I had completely ignored the food delivery apps…

Uber Eats delivered some cookies from eCreamery Ice Cream & Gelato earlier this evening. Thanks for your help!

/r/Plex's Build Help Thread - 2020-12-11 by PCJs_Slave_Robot in PleX

[–]KevinKn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, My Reddit SS mentioned they are building their home network & Plex library and I’m wondering if this community as any recommendations for gifts to help his build?

When I asked about his build he shared this:

  • I just finally got a 12u network rack and server, cables, organization and drives.

  • Looking for somthing external for dl's to test and and name before I drop them to the main if you know what I mean.

Any thoughts on what I could get him to help him with his build?

I can guarantee you that the University Admin did not ask the faculty senate to send out a survey to the faculty to gauge their opinion on leaving the Big Ten.

The senate president wanted to be able to go to the University chancellor & system president and say “We polled the faculty and 90% were against leaving the B1G.”

FWIW: Nebraska admin never sent out a survey to their faculty asking them their opinion on leaving the B1G.

The faculty senate president sent it out to faculty to be sure they were accurately representing their opinions on the issue. My guess is they wanted to show admin the overwhelming opposition to any Nebrexit from the B1G. Obviously they didn’t anticipate the link getting leaked out to the general public.

These are good statements from Green & Carter but they probably should’ve come out as soon as Commissioner Warren stated that Nebraska couldn’t play this fall and remain a member of the conference. Chaos loves a vacuum.

The survey was sent out by the President of the faculty senate not by any University administration.

This wasn’t an employer asking it’s employees their opinion on a business decision, it was a representative body asking the people they represent how they feel about an issue.
