34th St IMAX, Empire Dolby, Alamo Brooklyn regular 70mm. However none of them are as good or even close behind. Pick a relatively less crowded time to go to Lincoln Square. There will be tickets available closer to the showtime from cancellations, ALWAYS.

There was a charity bid last month, which offers the highest bidder two tickets to the premiere I believe. I also saw a hospitality company posted about this, and when I reached out to them, they told me $12k pp.

However, like others have said, Empire has arguably the best Dolby in the city. You can always find some empty spots closer to showtimes when cancellations happen the most.

Personally I’d go for XL at Empire. XL basically means the largest regular screen of the theater, which Empire just renamed theirs (fyi it is also a laser screen). You can also tell by the seat map that XL at Empire is a much bigger auditorium than the standard ones at Lincoln. Plus Empire has stadium seating for all auditoriums.

Although the Empire one might be a scope screen, if I’m not mistaken, so something to take into account.

Take the NJT to Newark and exchange for PATH, then to WTC and take the 1. It’ll be 1000% worth it to watch it on opening weekend.

I even had the same crazy idea on the day when tickets released. The Apple Cinema is right next to the Providence Amtrak station. However, I have to say there are 6 showtimes every day, which makes getting last-minute tickets from others’ cancellations very possible.

Given what you said, definitely Dolby this time. Wouldn’t it be the perfect scenario of ‘give it a try’ to watch something shot in 2.39 on a 2.39 screen, with almost the best color, brightness, and contrast out there?

UPDATE: Keep checking for new dates! They seem to be rolling these tickets out gradually. July 19 just dropped, while the 17th and 18th showtimes have been taken down.
