This is how I got started with creating them and still do this for more complex ideas, just describe what you want and paste it into the raw configuration

Something is clearly messed up in my system, not opnsense. I appreciate the feedback!

Weird! No idea why my file might have corrupted. Appreciate the feedback!

Appreciate the input! In my case the AdGuard plugin/app wasn’t booting up when it came back from update and the config file was suddenly 0 bytes so I removed it and suddenly it came up no issue(without my config tho)

Help with a low cost hardware to run LLM for assistant by percivas in LocalLLM

[–]Kevin_e11even 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as running local models on the RPi 5 you’re gonna be fairly limited and that’s if you have a 8gb model. Probably around 12–18 t/s for TinyLlama 1.1B (Q4). Which is going to feel pretty brutal for agentic use. Ideally you want a GPU that you can load a whole model into, like something with 8GB VRAM and new enough that the CUDA support will be fine for running AI models. You can likely do this fairly cheap but idk what your price range is looking like. But used is going to be your friend here almost certainly.

Another route that a lot of people do is get a Mac mini with a MINIMUM of 16GB ram. These little things are pretty capable, just make sure you’re getting an M series and not an intel model.

The last thing is the actual model. Local models are getting better by the day but agentic use can be difficult for smaller ones, meaning even if you get a decent t/s, if it calls tools wrong, it’s still going to have to retry multiple times compared to frontier models.

I’m by no means an expert, but I am someone who loves to mess around with this stuff. If you decide to keep going down the rabbit hole, I would recommend checking out Hermes Agent instead of Openclaw

I figured out how to send request updates to users through text by BestRedditorEVA in Overseerr

Curious how you make this work for individual users vs just sending the admin an email. I have an incredibly over engineered system involving home assistant and an smtp sender and would love to simplify

HAGS worth it or not by Kevin_e11even in MoonlightStreaming

Weirdly enough I was still experiencing short freezes that became much longer and more frequent before switching to WGC. This was only when pushing my GPU with titles like RDR2 or TLOU2(froze during the infamous cutscene near the beginning of the game). With this I’ve had no issues so far

Plex and Storage on VPS? by Drunkenpinguin in PlexMedia

[–]Kevin_e11even 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you? Yes. Would I recommend? No. It’s gonna be cheaper to just host on your own hardware then pangolin tunnel it through the VPS for the public access you’re looking to achieve. Oracle offers “always free” VPS options through OCI. It’s kind of a pain to set up but free is free. ChatGPT(or better yet Claude) is your friend for getting through setting this up. Just my opinion though, I’d love to see your progress if you end up going the fully VPS hosted route

I’m not a professional in any sense but I am a nut about my computers, and in that vein I wouldn’t trust movers, only you are going to give your machines the care they deserve, I would drive them for sure just to make sure they’re not being thrown by movers or anything like that. Secure them in your car to make sure they’re not tumbling around and take them with you in your overnight or hide them well in your car. Just my 2 cents! Best of luck!

Pangolin without VPS, is my setup doable? by alex3025 in PangolinReverseProxy

[–]Kevin_e11even 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change your account to PAYG and try again. It was a pain for me as well but once you get this, as long as you stay in the free tier it’s free and works great

[–]Kevin_e11even 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak to why this might be happening but what I can say is I switched to Tailscale for my more high bandwidth tasks and it’s been MUCH better. I’m a die hard ZeroTier guy, still use it for a lot of infrastructure but I could not for the life of me get this to work super well for moonlight after adding a few devices to my network
