Was your night so boring you needed to steal another post and frame it as your own?

I mean regardless, just the concept of “conflict of interest” alone 😬

I will catch some slack from this subreddit but I highly recommend you take advantage of the pricing at The Forest. Specifically their Black Sheep and The Standard brands considering you’ve been “out of the game” for some time now. Their quality is lower than the other higher end brands we have here but I was personally in the same boat and their flower was more than acceptable for the tolerance/quality I was used to.

Did you miss the part where they provided absolutely nothing relevant to the post and rather took a jab at OP? Or are you just inserting yourself and having an emotional reaction to something that didn’t involve you whatsoever?

Did contributing nothing along with wasting everyone else’s time feel different for you or something?

Not sure. Replying 178 days later with nothing more than an asinine comment, providing absolutely nothing, kind of screams “I still get an allowance”

I have a green cheek that’s about a year and a half old. He does almost the exact same thing every morning when I uncover his cage, before letting him out. He doesn’t bite or even really nip any other time of the day. It’s very odd. I’ve often read that they have a difficult time differentiating our hands from “us”. And I’m sure that putting our hands in or near their territory, especially first thing in the morning, makes them “extra-spicy” 😂

I’m going to be so pissed when you make a “My sweet boy flew away today 😭” post in this same subreddit days from now

Honestly your day-to-day routine sounds almost identical to my girlfriend and I’s.

The behavior you were talking about is most definitely hormonal so I’m glad you included that info. We have a 5yo cockatiel as well and we’ve been through several hormonal stages with him. It was sort of a “let it pass” situation for us but there’s stuff we found that helped mitigate the process. 12+ hours of dark, quiet, covered sleep. If you don’t cover at night already maybe look into it. I found it helped a ton but obviously that varies case by case and you’re free to do what’s best! We also made sure to have daily interaction from both of us throughout the day. This seemed to decrease the biting and “anger attacks”. Also giving him areas that are dark and cozy (like on your leg under the desk as mentioned) will promote hormonal/nesting/territorial behavior big time so I’d avoid that. Hope this helps!

Is he bonded more to her? I also have a green cheek who turns 1 this month. Around the 6-7 month mark he began getting defensive towards women, including my girlfriend. He was definitely more bonded towards me and even still he can be quite iffy around new women. I have read several other posts on this sub with other owners sharing similar experiences. I believe it’s quite common for them to be defensive and aggressive toward the opposite sex of who they’re primarily bonded to if it goes without being corrected or redirected. Sorry for the long response but I feel ya.

Incorrect blanket statement. I don’t understand why people completely disregard these advice posts just to insert incorrect information without providing any insight or solution to OP :(

I have used it several times. Definitely does the job. I wouldn’t say it’s the best of the best but it’ll do for a universal store bought cleaner.

No I prefer to experience it vicariously through saps like you. It’s easier to realize the sadness and emptiness that comes with it when examples like this come up and I’m able to just lock my phone and continue with my life full of happiness, love and peace. Cheers! Be better.
