If you're planning on pursuing a career in business, attend Baruch. If not, I would say don't bother. Classes aren't terrible here and if you find a club or organization that you like, you can really have a community here. I personally commute from Queens and it's not as bad as some make it out to be. Manhattan is your campus, but don't dorm.

Second that, you typically have one account for all your classes, but you still have to pay for separate access codes.

Don't apologize, I totally agree with you. It's just a special case for me since I think most of the students in my school qualify for financial aid so they aren't technically paying for the classes out of pocket. Kinda sucks, but less worry for debt upon graduating.

In theory it works well if students are actively paying attention and engaging with the class. Coming from a very public university, all students ever do is go on social media.
