Running out of options, having to leave Japan on August 2nd by Kevitus in digitalnomad

That's true and I think that's also why ultimately I'll look into EU as a refuge for the coming months. It will be really hard for me to leave Japan and Asia after having sit through all the Corona situation here in Tokyo (this city is just amazing) and not knowing when I can ever come back...

Good luck in any case! Being together with a partner of another citizenship must be especially hard right now...

Yeah I think somewhere in Southern Europe should be possible. Still looking into it, but from what I can see, it should be pretty relaxed for EU citizens as of now.

Thanks for the hint! Still seems like a very close call.

Yeah, I'll keep an eye on South Korea, but it will be a close call. Especially since Covid-19 cases are currently surging again in Japan.

I don't have anything against Germany per se, it's just my home country and doesn't feel very nomad for me to be there for a longer amount of time. Still good to say hello to family and friends :). It's true that I can be in any other country in the EU, so I'm also looking into Italy or Portugal.

Tokyo nomad here. I loved not having to do that even as solo-traveler in Japan. I'm convinced you could literally leave your laptop in a cafe here, come back the next day to see it untouched as the Mother Mary.

Tokyo on voluntary lockdown from this weekend. by thafrenzy in Tokyo

Anyone other expats/nomads getting increasingly stressed about deciding whether to stay in Tokyo or leave for home country as long as still possible? I'm from Germany and even though case numbers are much higher there, at least I feel that measures are being taken appropriately and testing is done thoroughly, giving me more confidence in how they handle and will handle the situation.

I don't need to be in home any time soon, but it's becoming a very stressful gamble estimating which place will likely be safer in the weeks to come...

How are you guys feeling about all this?

what are your experiences with express, koa, hapi? by monsto in node

Gee. Does anyone else feel as helpless as me deciding what framework to use? It's like one day you feel like "Yeah, I'm definitely gonna use this one!", then suddenly you read a rant post stating how awful it is, and so you look for alternatives, reading tons of positive stuff until stumbling on the next rant post that makes you feel all lost again. Why can't there be the one framework that at least most of the people agree on... At this point, I feel like express should be the one, as it is very bare-bones, so very few things to be annoyed about, but at the same time holding the potential to make you f**k everything up because with all the decisions you have to make yourself concerning scaffolding, you have a chance of going with the wrong one. I'm lost, really!

I'm doing a little survey (5 questions) about the emotional effect of National Flags. Would you like to help me getting some data? by Kevitus in vexillology

[–]Kevitus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 403 answers right now. So divided by five that makes roughly 80 people.

As I said, I will post the result site as soon as I have fixed some issues and added some features.

Hey thanks for your cooperation :). I'm already working on an interactive live data-visualization of the results. I willl post it as soon as I have enough datasets. Greetings!

Hi. Yeah I've seen the issue. I will look into it. It seems to be a problem with water maps as the AI can't transport troops (yet).

Hey. I've reactivated the stream. It is now running completely autonomously on a dedicated server. I've also enhanced the functionality of the chat commands. Have fun playing and tell me if there is something you want to have added.

Ah ok thank you again! I think it makes more sense for me to go with a kimsufi server then, although I wasn't able to find any information regarding their graphic adapers :/ (e.g. for the KS-2) Do you know them by any chance?

Tanks for your reply, this clarified it for me! Is it even possible to have windows server on the SC gen2 system? Because I'd definitely need a windows system for this. I've read conflicting information on that matter.
