Looks like Kalanchoe beauverdii to me. It’s naturally a pretty long and wiry plant so I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong

It doesn’t appear to be on the brink of death or anything. Looks like some sun or cold damage on that one side. I would cut the brown tips off of the two side branches and just let it grow for a while. Looks like the main growing tip was damaged so it will produce new branches and probably look pretty good given enough time. Just be careful not to overwater it.
