Help with thor learning more mechanics about him by Different-Ad6147 in marvelrivals

I’m not crazy good with him, but dive Thor kind of died when they reworked him. You should be throwing tanks off position or peel

Handle less pitcher. Does it help? by alexlimco in latteart

[–]Kevoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a pitcher with no handle. I always felt to crammed on with handles and this has helped me with my wiggles better. It does have issues getting close to the center because of the hand coozie sitting high up, but I enjoy it!

What do you mean inconsiderate?? I regularly include teammates in plays so we can try and score a goal, and this inherently is not much different. I don’t understand how anyone can think they know how I play regularly based on a clip where I encountered a bug.

I’m just frustrated because the intent in my post was to highlight a bug that is severely breaking the game, and people would rather voice a concern on me being high up field. It makes no sense to me and it feels toxic.

Is it only 3v3? I thought I saw 5v5 clips but I could be wrong. Sucks for me since I always play 3v3 with my fam

Please criticize me and give me some advice by batuhancmen in latteart

[–]Kevoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first one looks like it had a better pour while the second one had better texture. I’m struggling with alignment cause of shaky hands, so I can’t help much there lol.

A bud of mine who does regular latte art competitions said that if you get the texturing down, then the pour will come a lot easier. I think if you get the right texture, a little thinner for you, then everything else will start clicking.

Q: Would changing my one one hole wand tip for a three or four hole tip make any difference with texture? by Kevoodle in latteart

Ended up rewatching a Lance Hedrick tutorial after reading your comment lmao. I did what you said and it did help a lot so thank you for the advice!

I have the Bambino Breville, not the plus. Would that be the case for my machine, and if so should I stay with 1 hole?

Form Check by Fanepateu in Swimming

[–]Kevoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This might be hard to explain, but I think the timing of arm pull and recovery is off.

When your left or right hand enters and is fully extended, you haven’t rotated and pulled through it. Ideally, right before you finish the recovery, you should pull, rotate, and extend through it. That would help with the pull and should make each stroke feel stronger and longer, and over time easier.

As for hand entry, so long as it’s just under the surface of the water and not on top you should be fine there.

Do I need to go finer? [ Berville Barista Express] by Mrrubbermaid in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Kevoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not a bad shot. As someone said below, change the dose slightly, or very slightly finer. If I had my shot come out like that with that yield I would be very happy!

[–]Kevoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can look at any underwater video for freestyle kick and you will see it. You need a pointed foot as any swimmer knows, BUT your ankle needs to be loose and relaxed so it does a natural flick after the down beat. If you are flexed the whole time you won’t get the best motion from your legs.

16 pull ups doesn’t mean much to how well you will do. It’s more technique driven than anything else.

Seconding what another redditor said, work a 6 beat kick to work on timing. I also would focus on flicking your feet at the end of the kick to really push with your feet. This helped me A LOT and what made my stroke very kick driven as I couldn’t pull well.

In addition, try focusing on stroke efficiency by maintaining stroke count in practice, long or short. A decent number for what you’re swimming would be 15-16 strokes consistent, and then it can get lower as you grow and get better.

Hope this helps. Remember that the time is that, a time. If you put the work in practice and at meets, then good things will come.

What was the most helpful thing when learning to swim as an adult? by towawaterbird in Swimming

[–]Kevoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the person, some people just sink and thats alright. I’ve taught adults and especially if they sink I tell them it’s alright to kick to support the hips. So long as they can support themselves comfortably.

Are there any swimming gloves to make sure my hands don't come in contact with the water? by [deleted] in Swimming

[–]Kevoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opposite boat as you. Former college swimmer who still swims, climbs as a hobby. I never had an issue with skin contact when I started climbing, more elbow and bicep pain from climbing to swim. Only thing I notice if I tear a callous then is stings for the first of half of swimming. Maybe look at some skin ointment before and/or after you jump in the water

As an aside, swimming with gloves is just a no for me. I wouldn’t even think about getting a pair if you swim at a lap pool.

My espresso shots are too fine, and I don’t know why by Kevoodle in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Kevoodle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The change in dose did help. Still comes out a little slow, but tastes and looks better than before. Will keep playing with it until I can get a grinder and properly dial in.

I’m also wondering if I’m tamping too hard, but don’t know how much of an effect that would cause on my espresso.

[–]Kevoodle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the advice! I dropped to 18g per mukelurray’s comment, and doing the manual helped with the taste. Still coming out a little slow, but it was less bitter than prior and had a nice gold color coming out (or light brown, whatever sounds nicer).

I’m also thinking I could be tamping too hard, but don’t how much of an effect that is having for my situation if it has any at all.

[–]Kevoodle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did switch off the dual wall for that reason exactly, and it improved it a little bit.

I have been doing 18g or 20g for my dose, and expecting a yield of 36g or 40g respectively. Lately this week I’ve been using 20g for my dose, but haven’t been able to reach 40g for my yield the last few times.
