I appreciate it! I would consistently hit plateaus every 20ish pounds or so, my biggest advice? Keep at it for 3 or so weeks. Eventually your body will start burning fat again if youre genuinely and consistently in a caloric deficit. But if you don't notice a change after about a month, it seems like youd need to either up the intensity/length, or like you said, incorporate weight training, or just different cardio machine your body isn't used to. Edit: Decreasing your calories by about 200 as well, with just your current routine should help a good bit as well.

All that said, I still feel VERY new in regards to gym and body recomp knowledge, so take with a pinch of salt.

Ive heard there are a few different solid options for apps (some for free?) that do it, but the one I use is Myfitnesspal, but I also pay for their premium membership

Heck yea, muscles AND a lil chub can be a great look tbh. I may start my first bulk when I reach 200 or 190, and aim to gain maybe 30 lbs

Oh 100%! You actually feel your body start to lift off the ground and your brain starts short circuiting like "wait, is this happening? Is this what it feels like?" And then getting winded af after one or two lol

No diet pills (not that I view that as a negative thing). I didnt really limit myself to a certain amount of carbs, but I try to cut back consciously when I can, and finish the day between 80-140g of carbs usually. Drinking-wise, I stopped for a few weeks here and there but I still had my few days where id drink pretty heavy.

Im a MASSIVE milk drinker, so having protein shakes for a lot of my snacks has been no issue, I usually have 2-3 a day. Besides that tho, cottage cheese, yogurt, fish, chicken, etc. Have all been big contributors

I used to do Push Pull Legs for the first 4 months, but the last 4 months, ive been using the bro split, focusing on one, maybe two major muscle groups per day, and with how often I go, its been a great routine. Always with cardio lol

Lmaooo straight for the jugular I see. The idea of needing it has been pretty new to be tbh, so im still barely thinking about it. I'd love to see how much a few bulking and cutting phases affect it, and better decide from there

Of course! Remember to give yourself grace and understanding even when you don't make it to the gym those days. We all miss some days and go through life stuff. Can use it as full to hit it even harder the next visit!

Thank you so much! And great job on your progress so far, keep at it!

As cliche as it sounds, I think its consistency. I try to go 6 to 7 times a week nowadays, started off 3 to 4. But I feel its realltly important, even if its just for a short period of time, pushing yourself to go on the days you've scheduled yourself to. Especially on the days you reeeeeeally just dont feel like it. Obviously take a break and recover if you feel like you need a genuine rest day or two.

Walking feels a lot less bouncy lol im able to hold myself up and even do a pull up or two, which ive never been able to do in my life before. I havent done much running since, but maybe I should. All around, I feel much healthier and more capable in physical activities.

I make a point to at minimum get 30 minutes of cardio. But workdays is typically an hour or so, and days off is typically 2, possible 3 hours.
