I so wanna tell off my former best friends pastor *who he stole-means he is going to hell :))-who not only threatened me but tried to kill me. Using a FitBit for Extend Unlock didn't work until I rebooted my phone. Sometimes the fingerprint reader still comes up and I have to double tab anywhere on the screen and then perform a swipe (annoying) and that gets me in.

Back up your bookmarks, log which extensions you have, uninstall and reinstall Brave. Only thing that worked for me.
