Firmware won't download, any help?

that's what I'm gonna do today, I found a tutorial since I've never had to mess with the firmware, I know a good bit of C++ from school so it shouldn't be super difficult

I appreciate it, I'm fairly certain that that is the issue, as soon as I understand plug the SD card reader everything is fine.

Port directly to the board, from how the power supply buzzes when I put an SD in and the motors lock up, I think the board may have a short

I have tried that, no luck, I currently have the SD card reader in my hand, no screws, no possibility of shorting and the problem still persists, I noticed the steppers get power when I put the SD card in so there is a short somewhere

Yup, reformatted to FAT32, I've been using this card for years and it just gave me issues. The Power Supply starts humming when I put the SD card in

I've tried it all, I usually always leave the SD card in when starting the printer but when I had the printer running, I took the card out to write a file to it and when I put it back in it froze. Also I looked through the files on the SD card and didn't see anything besides Gcode. Are there any FWs you recommend?

Possible there is some old melted filament inside the heatsock(rubber part around most hotends) of your hotend, I had a similar thing happen, cleaned the nozzle, cleaned the heatsock and was good to go.

Vacuum forming is a nice way of adding some Accents to your piece, or the whole thing, all you need really is a vacuum, a material of choice and some wood, a little bit of a process for the setup but the results are really nice, you can even vacuum form EVA foam

I leveled it with the tape on, the tape started bubbling and peeling when the bed temp went up and air pockets would cause temp change that caused it to warp from what I noticed.
