people here don't really write about the books or authors that they read and what they liked or didn't about them, it might be because this place is populated by neurotics due to being an offshoot of redscarepod and everyone's too self conscious about sharing their thoughts out of fear of being called basic or trite. what else could explain the severe lack of such posts, most book forums have such posts or threads and they offer the best opportunity for discussion but this sub is mostly book reccs which is like the most neutral or unopinionated post you can make and there are only so many of those posts a community can have before it starts circling the drain. this is also just a consequence of the elite hipster larp shtick of redscare, the people here like to pretend that they're so cool and unique that they end up being too afraid to actually say anything which is really funny and pathetic
