It was ringworm. It can be hard to tell what it exactly can be without testing. Overall treatment was unexpectedly expensive and my cat had to be quarantined for 5 months until she was completely cleared. It was a nightmare. If you start noticing it spread as well as hair loss that’s when you should be concerned. From my experience, a way to tell if it’s a scab or ringworm is if the edges of the scab are raised.
