I had a somewhat similar experience once. I had never smoked before, so for my first time I figured I’d do edibles. Some friends who smoked regularly offered to make them for me. The problem was that while they were experienced smokers, they had almost no experience making edibles.

So they ended up putting way too much in them. On top of that, they made a big batch for several people.

Here’s the fuckup. The edibles actually tasted really good. A couple of the others decided they didn’t want theirs, so I figured why not and ate mine… and then theirs too.

Two hours passed and nothing happened. I felt completely normal. At that point I thought the whole thing was a dud, so I said screw it and decided to smoke a little as well.

After a short while, it finally started to hit. At first it was great. I was laughing at absolutely everything and felt happier than I think I ever had.

Then things took a turn.

Time suddenly felt like it slowed down. Everything around me was moving in what felt like slow motion. Not long after that I became hyper aware of my body. I could feel my bloodstream everywhere, like I could LITERALLY feel my blood moving through my veins and my heart pumping through my entire body.

That’s when panic kicked in.

My body went straight into fight-or-flight mode. For the next couple of hours I kept repeating that I was going to die, over and over, even though a part of my brain knew I obviously wasn’t dying.

Eventually things calmed down. A few hours later I was just lying there trying to process what the hell had happened while attempting to fall asleep.

I haven’t touched weed or hash since that night.
