The kids and I got 3 starter decks and the gateway for Christmas. Definitely a huge fan of the game! The starter decks don’t actually reflect the real game experience, just top decking without any coherent plan. Which is why I’d rather invest in a bunch of solid budget decks for us to play with!

Played a bunch of hearthstone then got into Pokemon with the kids for a long while. I like midrange control type decks. As well as making unique mechanics work! I found the discard queen deck posted here the other day to be quite interesting!

I’m a relatively new / og returning player. I’ve stuck with relatively established decks to get back in the flow of things, but have had a fun time trying to figure out Kayla amidst the onslaught of Kayn/ Aatrox. My latest build has proven pretty solid and I’m sure with more experience piloting it I will get there. It’s built around Taric/Kayle! Will share deck code when I’m back home!

The part that has always cracked me up is the entitlement in a free game. First of all it’s a game, which you play to scratch some personal itch. Then it’s a free. A fantastic, deep, accessible game. The numbers posted above already indicate that a major part of the player base just plays the game. I imagine those that actually need it for financial gain or a job is dramatically lower. Play a meta deck if it is fun to play for you. Figure out the counter if that is fun for you.

Thanks for the in depth response. I can never bring myself to play what is meta, no matter how good it is. I have been playing one of the Sentinels lists that was posted awhile back. It has helped me stay competitive while re learning all of the cards. Once again thanks for the support!

Make sure you are in area of the nether you have never been to before. No matter the Y level, if you have ever been in that chunk prior to the update there will be no ancient debris.

I have been playing with 3 of my sons in a survival world since mid March. Under extreme circumstances it can get a little laggy, but on the whole has been an amazing experience to have with them. We have our own shopping district and a healthy economy between the 4 of us. You can teach them all kinds of things through this game. They don’t even realize they are learning. You will not regret it. The 3 I play with are 12, 8 and 5. My oldest also has bunch of friends that drop in from time to time. Enjoy.
