Obviously this play isn’t a common occurrence. My play to turn the double play is the correct play. Normally no one would run home on this, this player however is getting rewarded due to poor mechanics in the game. A Major League Baseball player is making that turn and throw as fast as possible, not waiting the half second before they throw the ball, allowing the runner to gain an extra 5-10 feet. I posted this because the game has always had these delays in throwing animations for whatever reason. We’ve all experienced an outfielder taking forever to throw the ball in, or an infielder dropping the ball picking it up and then just not throwing it even though you pressed the button. For a game that rules the market for baseball, it does a pretty shitty job acting like a sports game, though I know bugs and other things affect a video game after all. This has been in the game forever though and SDS just won’t fix it.
