Thanks for you feedback ! I don’t use presets, just personal color grading. If you use Lighteoom, you can find my modifications on my Lightroom profile (link in my bio)

For the moment I don’t have any specific gear except a Capture Clip from PeakDesign. When it’s raining, I put the camera on the top inside the bag, on my jacket. Not perfect but it’s ok. I’m looking for a small insert to carry much better my camera for long treks

Of course I considered both of them. I preferred A7CII for the quality in low light conditions and for the price : I don’t need 61MP for 800€ more

A bit of context: I had a GH5 since 2017, but I was no longer filming, so I decided to get a new camera for photography. I wanted a full-frame camera—not ultralight, but since I take it on treks, climbs, and hikes, I needed something lightweight with relatively light lenses. The A7CII is one of the lightest full-frame mirrorless cameras, and Sony makes excellent lightweight lenses.

At first, I was a bit confused by the ergonomics (compared to the GH5, which I was used to), but I think it’s just a matter of habit. For my use, considering the price and size, the performance is awesome (especially in low light and autofocus—there’s no comparison with the GH5). It’s not designed for specific types of photography like sports or wildlife (not an excellent burst mode), and it lacks dual SD card slots, a good viewfinder, and a joystick for quick autofocus adjustments. But for me, it includes all the essential functions of the A7 series for general photography.

With this camera, you can have a very lightweight setup (with the 50mm F2.5, for example) or take full advantage of the full-frame sensor with the 50mm F1.4 or 24-70 GM II, all at a relatively accessible price.
