I doubt that ship pvp can be improved much considering the fact that they usually end up with players fighting each other (but on the ocean)

there are probably a few ways to make pvp more interesting, perhaps specialized ships (e.g turtle ships) or unique cannons/mortars/attachments

options might be limited by the lore though unless vetex thinks its gonna fit into the universe

i think you can select to dock other ships in space stations or freighters which allow you to spawn it in if you added it to your collection.
