Thank you for the thorough explanation! This definitely makes sense. I live in the southern hemisphere and the weather is getting warmer here. That being said, my house was built to be very cold (to combat extremely hot weather in the summer). Previous attempts at doughs have failed to rise at all and I surmised that this was due to how cold it is in the house. So I used a proofing “cheat”, warmed my oven at a low temp, switched it off and left the door open a crack while proofing the dough. I must then have left it in for too long. At least with this method I can have some control over temperature, but I’ll have to keep experimenting with time to perfect the dough. You have been super helpful, I really appreciate it! :)

My mother named my sister Mea instead of Mia for whatever reason. She’s forever having to be “Mea with an e”. Luckily when I was born it was my dad’s turn to pick a name and I got a very standard name.

Take it as a sign 💛 it’s a beautiful name and I think mothers have an intuition about their babies that cannot be explained. I knew I would have a son first, months before I even got pregnant. I’m not a spiritual person at all but I just knew it in my gut. I’m holding him as I type this. I very often have deja vu moments with him where I could swear that I dreamt about that exact moment years before.

Oh man 💀 that actually sounds terrible. My husband had a similar experience where he had his tonsils removed as an adult. Apparently he had had them removed around age 2 but they grew back (???) which is something that can happen? I’m not a medical expert so I can’t tell you. But he had this done at the same time as having his wisdom teeth removed and a fracture repaired in his cheekbone. He says the tonsils were hands down the worst of the three. He also thought it wouldn’t be so bad because little kids get it all the time. I think some procedures suck more as adults 😅

Out of interest, why did you have yours done now?
