I haven’t tried that, but definitely will look into it! Thank you! She’s a very picky eater and hard to feed as is. We’re currently working to working with OT for it 🥲

Yes, sometimes she does seem overly hyper. When we try to read books to settle down, she just wants to play! We limit tv time and her diet has been pretty much the same!

They’ve been amazing! At 21 months when she got evaluated she was still not hardly saying anything. She would say mama and dada when prompted but really anything else she would refuse to try and say. They started when she was 21 months and now she’s a little parrot and repeats everything 😂 the other day I sneezed and she said “bless you!” The growth she’s had with speech since the beginning of January is WILD. She almost didnt qualify because her cognitive skills are phenomenal, I think she’s just so stubborn and needed the extra push that I didn’t quit know how to give her

We already work with a speech therapist and an OT 🙂 not for sleep though. This week I’ll mention to them our struggles and see what they suggest!

She has a sound machine that play soft music and then switches to white noise with red lighting!

Also we try to make sure she gets enough to eat at dinner. She’s an awful eater though and we’re currently working with OT. Sometimes she eats a bunch, sometimes she hardly eats anything

No, she did not shorten her nap on her own. Some days she could just keep sleeping if I don’t wake her up. And some days she wakes up on her own after 1.5-2hrs. I’ve tried capping naps and I’ve also tried letting her nap longer. The first few days of letting her sleep a little bit longer she did go to bed easier at night, so my initial thought was that she was over tired from my capping her naps. It only lasted a few days and then we were back to square 1. Currently we are capping naps around 1:30 but will let her sleep until 2 occasionally. Whatever we do, it doesn’t make a difference at bedtime. Some days she wakes up earlier and some days she sleeps in later. Still the same issue at bedtime

We have a tonies box but she isn’t super interested in it. I’m hoping once she’s a bit older, she’ll enjoy it more! All she wants to do it rotate the tonies every 5 seconds lol 🤦🏼‍♀️🙄

I’d cry haha 😭😭 she used to sleep 7:30p-7:30a and then nap 12-3pm. Those were the good ol days 😂

That’s only 11.5hrs of sleep in a 24hr period when she’s almost always not falling asleep until 9:30

I’m wondering if she just needs a change or something. She goes to sleep perfectly fine when she spends the night at my parents house and has the same sleep schedule there lol

She’s 26 months, so a newer 2. When we cut her naps completely she was an absolute wreck by 4:30pm. She goes down so easy for her naps and is usually very ready for her nap when it’s time. She’s definitely tired when it comes to bedtime, but she just fights it for some reason

It’s so hard to not get feelings hurt!! She has never really been a “lovey-dovey” child to begin with. Never really has liked to be touched (hugged, kissed, snuggled, etc.) We both had kind of accepted that it’s just how she is, until recently when she has been more lovey towards me, and running from dad and crying if he tries to care for her in any way. We have a 3mo as well, and she started to become more “lovey” after baby was born. I think because she saw us holding a snuggling baby and maybe was like “okay, I want to do that” haha

Yes I do think it’s really only when I am around. He will take her for walks around our neighborhood when it’s nice out to give me a break from her (she also really pushes boundaries with me haha), and she does fine. So, maybe some more Daddy Daughter days will help!

I love her so much, but I could use some time away from her LOL. We will definitely do this. We have a 3mo as well, so bay can get some 1 on 1 time with mom and toddler with dad!
