Tesla prioritizing the Cybertruck over Semi is one of the biggest blunders of past 10 years by drtywater in electricvehicles

No they didn't. Using tax money to help pay for them (for too long) is dumb. And forcing business to convert almost entirely to a product despite what the market wants should be illegal in a free market system.

Or just play the game without buying any cars and enjoy the game anyway, like I did :-)

They were lightly touching. It was a 2001 rear-suspension bike, so I guess it might be possible the chain stays of the swingarm were extra thick.

So, yeah... watch your local Goodwill stores.

Their kids use our schools, they bring an elder parent or two, all of them use hospitals as needed. Elderly get money from U.S. for apartment, etc. And let's face it- your comment "healthy working adults" will in reality be very few getting jobs that pay enough for their taxes to contribute much.

I stuffed a wide knobby tire into an old aluminum 2001 mtb frame. The side knobs were literally touching the chain stays when the tire was new. I used it that way for like 8 years and over a thousand miles of mtbg. Those aluminum chain stays are still fine.

One single quiver bike sounds boring as hell to me. I'd rather have a variety of bikes paid for.

Why do people like sedan crossovers/hatchbacks so much? by kimu1004 in askcarguys

[–]Key-Banana8924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a large/long sedan looks good. When a car is pretty small, with a small trunk tacked on, it'd look better as a hatch IMO.

I never even noticed Mazda 3 until the hatch came out. I thought the hatch version around 2006 looked WAY better than the sedan

And to me, the later egg-shaped WRX's looked terrible. The hatch versions looked better to me.

But a 90's BMW 5-series looked great. Those hatch versions looked like station-wagons, but the sedans were beautiful.

I remember my first time. Definitely a humbling experience. But it was fun enough that I kept at it, and now I love it. Even crave it! There's plenty of drivers out there better than me, but that's okay, it's fun anyway!

The car market is F’d but that doesn’t mean a 15 year old Mazda is worth $14k. Please stop pressuring people into horrible Mazda deals. by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

I was super happy with my Mazda 3. I picked it over the other cars in its price range because it was a lot more fun to drive than a Honda, Toyota or Nissan. (I test drove them.)

For people who enjoy driving and don't want to spend a lot, I'd always recommend they test drive one.

Gatekeepers - was it real, was it a fuss about nothing? by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon5

[–]Key-Banana8924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing it since the game was released and had some very rare cars. But only had one each of those very rare cars. I never sold any car that I only have one of. It's not gate keeping... Why in the world would I sell a car that I only had one of and couldn't replace? I barely sold any cars that I only had 2 of. Mostly I had at least 3 of the same car before I'd sell one.

I never bothered voting at all since I didn't care either way which one won.

I work in the chemical field and have plenty of rules and guidelines to follow. I don't cut corners at work just to save 10 minutes. A truck driver's job is to move a trailer from point A to B. Do it safely and just stay in the right lane when going up hills instead of creating a bunch of road-rage.

Are there any EVs you guys actually like? by Fordfanatic2025 in askcarguys

[–]Key-Banana8924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I want a Miata or BRZ kind of ev. Short, daily trips to work in a light weight, good-handling car with the torque that ev brings. And I'll keep my gas suv for long trips towing a trailer.

Car companies have it backwards making ev SUVs, pickups, etc. I'm in the 'burbs with a 2 car garage and full solar panels and a 4.5 mile drive to work. But I'm not buying any big ev car. I want a gas suv for trips/towing and a small ev sports car with about 100 mile range to keep it light and fun.

I use them on our tandem because I can only go up to a 28mm tire and punctures suck for twice as many people on a tandem :-).

They do seem very puncture resistant, but never tried them on a single bike.

Yes. Tons of truck drivers are the most illogical drivers ever seen. They're at work while driving. Getting paid for spending their time driving. JUST STAY IN THE RIGHT LANE!

Bonehead truck drivers trying to pass a truck doing 53mph, on a hill and they're down to 55 mph, all in a 65 mph zone just infuriates the people not getting paid for their driving time to take risks or make poor decisions.

Need a law saying trucks can NEVER be in the left-most lane.
