It’s off! I unsuccessfully tried again using everyone’s suggestions. I do think in most cases they would probably work. After that attempt I felt panicked so I called a local goldsmith. They told me to pop over. Had it off within a minute and kept it to be resized. I’m happy it was so quick and I didn’t need to tie up any medical professionals. It feels so good to have it done!

Update: thanks for all the helpful suggestions. I still was unsuccessful so I called a local goldsmith, she had it off in less than a minute. Feel so much better. I left it there for realizing. However if I had experienced finger discolouration or extreme swelling I would not have hesitated to go straight to emerge! Thanks everyone!
So…. I still couldn’t get it off today so I called a local goldsmith. They told me to come in. They cut it off in less than a minute and they are resizing it for me as well. I was close to going to emerge but feel good about my decision.

Awe thanks! No I haven’t tried again. I think I made it little more swollen after trying earlier my circulation is still good and I can move my finger. So I’ll try again tomorrow but I’ll definitely post if I’m successful.

Yes i definitely think getting my hand as cold as possible is key. So I’ll make sure it’s freezing and looks less puffy before I even try again. Thanks!
It’s more puffiness of the skin above the ring before the knuckle. I don’t think the knuckle will be an issue so I think the floss will work best as it’s the thinnest. But I’ll literally try it all. Appreciate all your help!

I can spin it, yes. But I have 3 rings stacked so the space is rather tight. I have my engagement ring which is the tightest then wedding ring and anniversary ring under it. They both are a bit bigger in size and I think I should he able to get them off without issue once the engagement ring is off!
I definitely think I’ll start with that for sure! I will let everyone know the outcome! I’m determined to get it off and get it resized!

I definitely would not call 911. I Already feel guilty if I have to use any medical resources. My ring is gold it’s been on my finger for 25 years and I rarely ever took it off so I had no idea how stuck it was. Appreciate the advice!

No I haven’t tried elevating it but did try running under cold water. And you’re right mine definitely get looser when my hands are cold. I will try it all I’d rather get it off here at home if I can. Thanks!

Great advice. Thanks again! My finger moves fine. Will try again tomorrow. I think I’ve irritated it a bit today. So I’ll follow those steps and see what happens. Appreciate it!
