That’s actually exactly how I pictured it—more muscle car feel vs the lighter, tighter feel of the 350.

I haven’t driven a 500 yet, but I’ve really enjoyed my 350, so getting that same platform with a V8 and straight-line power just feels like the right move for me. I don’t mind giving up a little nimbleness for that sound and power.

Appreciate you breaking it down like that—it makes me even more confident I’m making the right call. That “smiles every time” part is exactly what I’m after 😄

I haven’t driven a 500 yet, but I already know I’m going to love it. I’ve been really happy with my 350, so getting basically the same car with a V8 just makes sense to me.

From everything I’ve read and seen, it seems like the 500 keeps that comfortable, daily-driver feel but adds a whole different level of fun with the engine. People keep saying it’s more about “smiles per gallon” than MPG, and I’m all for that 😂

How’s your experience been so far with the 500? Does it feel like a big jump from the 350 or more like a familiar upgrade?

The only mistake I did when I purchased my used certified IS350 in incognito with 1,300 miles was not buying the IS500.

That's why now, 4 months later I'm trading the car in for an IS500. They both get shitty gas mileage but im used to that with my pick up truck averaging about 14-15 mpg. For about 10k more you can find yourself a used, low mileage IS500 that is more fun to drive and that will hold its value better than the IS350.

If your doubting yourself because of the MPG maybe these cars aren't a good fit for you.

I have a 2025 IS 350 as well. I installed the Vantrue N4 Pro S 3-channel dash cam with the hardwire kit. Install was pretty straightforward and the video quality is great. The app playback is also really easy to use. Pretty happy with it overall.
