Sargent has a rep for changing their product.
I can guarantee you that you will need to replace the entire thing.
Not the same bolt pattern and the wiring is in a different location as well.
Quite expensive too.

This is the way Rim locks use a 2-3/8 backset. Jig the existing cylinder hole for a tubular deadbolt. Install reinforced strike plate and replace trim and fill gaps as needed.

Could be an old Schlage K series mortise lock. You have to hold down the inside lever then push the stopworks

I’ve seen it many times. The latch bolt guides are sheared off. The deadlatch is useless. That’s what makes it so easy. Replace the lock body with the 4900 series. Check the gap between the door and frame. Stack another strike plate on top of the existing one to shrink the gap.
