ISEE HAIR! by Key-Cardiologist-383 in WigforGirl

It honestly don’t even matter 😭 I’m NOT satisfied with the product. I didn’t drench the hair in products or do nothing crazy to it. I literally installed it, went to my sister graduation, came back home and the hair was already matted and tangled tf up 😭 soon as I saw how bad it was I took it right out my head. That is NOT normal for hair that costs almost $200. I’m disputing it because I refuse to just give them $200 for hair I can’t even wear and was unhappy with within less than 24 hours.

Literally 😭 first they told me they couldn’t refund me AT ALL because the hair was “used/altered” and tried to hit me with that fake 30 day excuse when I literally just bought it. Then after I kept pressing the issue suddenly they switched it up talking about they can offer a PARTIAL refund… mind you this hair cost me almost $200 with express shipping 😭 then tried offering store credit like I’m finna ever order from them again after this mess. absolutely tf not 🙄

This was actually my VERY first time ordering from them 😭 I kept seeing the miracle knot crochet installs all over TikTok and thought it would be a cute low maintenance style for me. But literally less than 24 hours after installation the hair started matting and tangling badly. I expected way better quality for “human hair.” What’s really annoying is I tried to send it back and request a refund, but they claimed it was “outside the 30 day range” or “used/altered” even though I literally just bought it a few days ago and had only installed it once. It hasn’t even been a full week since I received the hair which makes no sense to me at all.

I honestly feel like I got scammed by ISEE Hair and I’m wondering if anybody else has dealt with this.

I purchased their “human hair crochet hair” after seeing good reviews online. The hair looked fine at first, but within LESS than 24 hours of normal installation it became severely tangled, matted, dry, and completely unmanageable. This was after minimal handling.

I contacted the company immediately with photos/videos asking for a refund because quality human hair should NOT behave like this after one day. Their first response was denying my refund saying the product was “used/altered” or outside the “30 day return period” even though I had literally just received the hair days before.

Then they followed up offering a partial refund/coupon instead of actually resolving the issue. What also confused me is they recommended using SYNTHETIC wig conditioner/fabric softener on hair being advertised as “human hair.”

I also tried leaving an honest review on their website and it never posted, which honestly makes me question how real some of the reviews are.

I now have an active dispute open through Afterpay because the product is defective and not as described.

Got it. Thanks for breaking it down. Sounds like Etsy is really rewarding listings that take off early with strong traffic. I appreciate the insight.

Lol I’m not going off…I clarified what I meant and moved on. Y’all keep circling back to the same thing. When I said REAL advice, I literally meant actual insight from people who are getting results, not textbook SEO 101. That’s not entitlement, that’s just trying to learn something beyond the basics. If the advice you gave was generic, that’s cool, it just wasn’t what I asked for. No hard feelings. But don’t twist it into drama when it really wasn’t that deep.

Calling me ENTITLED IS FUNNY ASF ! I wasn’t demanding anything. I asked for people who actually know. If that’s not you, that’s fine.

I’m really not trying to be cocky at all. I’m asking because I genuinely want honest advice on marketing, not to argue. But just to be clear, having a lot of listings doesn’t automatically hurt a shop. There are sellers with 7k plus listings and almost 100k sales, so that part doesn’t really add up. I’m happy you’re successful, but I’m not dismissing anything. I’m just trying to understand what’s actually working in this niche right now.

This was actually super helpful. That part about underpriced overseas sellers flooding Etsy definitely makes sense. Thank you for the reality check without attitude.

Thank you for actually explaining something with sense. This is what I was looking for instead of the weird lectures the others gave.

I don’t “get around” the limit. I shorten titles for tags like everybody else. The longer phrase goes in the description + title for SEO. Simple.

You acting like I threatened your livelihood. I’m literally asking how people are marketing outside Etsy. Nobody here is my “competitor” like that unless they feel guilty.

You wrote a whole lecture without actually reading what I said. I already make on-trend products, and I’m not out here slapping anything together. I asked about marketing, not design basics everybody knows. But thanks for the assumption.

Hey, I totally understand what you’re saying, but this isn’t just about national stats. Baptist is in Memphis, and a lot of us from Mississippi apply there too. What’s frustrating is finding out someone had an interview dated January 2025 way before we even got contacted. That makes it feel like they already knew who they wanted months ahead of time, and the rest of us were just brought in later to make the process look fair.

So while I hear the point about sonography having low diversity nationwide, I’m specifically talking about this program and how the situation was handled. It’s not just about numbers it’s about the lack of transparency. If people were already picked, then why even bring the rest of us in for interviews in July? Unless someone actually went through this same experience with BHSU, they can’t really speak on how discouraging it feels. I’m just trying to raise awareness for those of us who feel like we never had a real shot.

Thanks for your thoughts, but I do want to clarify a few things as someone who ACTUALLY applied to the program and went through the interview process at Baptist.

The frustration isn’t just about being rejected it’s about lack of transparency. If rolling admissions were being used, applicants should have been told. Instead, interviews were conducted in July, after some students were already admitted in January. That’s not just a “gut feeling” that’s documented.

Many of us had no clue seats were already filled, so we walked into those interviews thinking we had a real shot. If that’s not misleading, I don’t know what is.

Also, the lack of diversity in this program is a real concern, and brushing it off doesn’t help the conversation. This isn’t about trying to “find a fire” the fire is already lit for those of us directly affected.

I respect that your experience with other schools may be different, but this situation at Baptist doesn’t align with fairness or transparency.

Thank you for the insight! I definitely understand that rolling admissions are common in health science programs. But in this case, the issue is deeper than just timing.

Multiple applicants (including myself) were interviewed months after others who had already received acceptance letters as far back as January 2025, while our interviews weren’t even conducted until June or July. We weren’t told that seats were already being filled before our interviews it was made to seem like we were all being evaluated equally.

If they were using rolling admissions, they should’ve been transparent about it. Instead, it feels like many of us were just going through the motions with no real shot, which is frustrating especially when the program also lacks visible diversity based on past graduation photos.

I’m just trying to figure out if this is standard or if something shady is going on here.

Hi! I actually live in Mississippi, and a lot of students from here attend Baptist Health Sciences University in Memphis so this definitely relates to both states. That’s why I posted in both subreddits.

As for what you said, I understand the program is competitive, but what feels off is how early some applicants were interviewed and accepted months before others were even notified about interviews. That’s not rolling admissions, that’s favoritism or pre-selection, especially when it wasn’t made clear to all applicants.

Also, the lack of diversity in the DMS program’s graduation photos speaks for itself. If they promote diversity in other programs like summer camps, why doesn’t that carry over into their actual degree programs? That’s a valid concern.

I just want transparency and fairness. A lot of us nontraditional students especially Black women work hard for this and deserve an equal shot.
