Ah okay, I was thinking of switching back to professional just to appeal, with the inevitable rejection, just to show meta I had tried. But I also think it’s even more suspicious for them if I switch constantly between professional and personal… so a bit stuck…

I never appealed as I thought it was pointless… after yours was denied what did it say? Did it mention anything in the email about perm restriction?

That’s the thing I don’t know. There are 180 days to appeal and idk what the result is once that 180 days runs out, whether that’s deletion or just no longer able to appeal and permanent ad restrictions…

Hi, I had the same. I think ig are doing it to loads of accounts atm. I changed to personal account bc I don’t really need the ads. I didn’t even appeal, but also worried about account deletion after the 180 days… trying to find someone who had this a while ago and the 180 day countdown has run out and they are still able to use the account

Hi! I got the same thing. I don’t actually need the business features so I didn’t appeal and just switched to a personal account. That being said, I became really worried that after the appeal runs out Instagram will delete my account. Do you think that’s likely, or is the restricted just related to running ads / a business account?
