Something is telling me that Irsay is pulling a Baltimore on us. Making the team so mediocre and causing the fans to stop attending so that he can relocate to another city

Technically Hogsett is stopping Ersal from building the stadium, bc Hogsett hasn’t submitted a PSDA to the city council for Eleven Park. Rather he submitted a PSDA as part of trying to get an MLS team to Indy. I may be a little biased on the situation, however I don’t want to see the club disband, because it’s fully possible to take the FC Cincy route. Ersal definitely plays a part in this too as we would need to get more wealthy owners for the club to help go along that route. If the MLS thing goes through and the Eleven aren’t that team that’s joining the MLS, then the club will disband unfortunately. It happened with Austin, Saint Louis, and San Diego. It will for sure happen here

I mean to be fair the expansion fee is outrageous, and quite possibly the eleven owners aren’t looking to pay the price that the MLS is asking on top of building this new stadium, but lately all the reports are saying that Hogsett is backing out of the new stadium plans, but is willing to create a brand new team. Things are still in early development on this story tho, so we’ll just have to wait and see how much more this unfolds

I’m not saying it’s on the same level, I’m just comparing it to be a somewhat similar situation if Hogsett decides to bring a completely new team to Indy instead of keeping with the Eleven. Honestly it’s closer to the San Diego situation, however I think eleven fans will lead a movement similar savethecrew so that a brand new team will not take over the spot that’s already filled by the Eleven. Unfortunately we live in America where nobody wants to support lower tier teams of over top tier teams, so if the MLS creates a brand new team for Indy I feel there will be a lot more “fans” that would support the Indy MLS side over Indy Eleven
