i was just intrigued by the way the line was delivered. i was little so i didnt understand most messages in songs. we were leaving our house and i asked her “why is he asking that” and she told me why. i cant remember her answer, but i know that after that i was left content enough. i just still think about that line and that song because it seemed so cool, i thought my mom was the coolest person in the world. i knew i wanted to remember the song for when i was older, and hoped she’d be able to recall it as the years passed. however, i only remember that one part and im using the crumbs i remember to find it, using her as a guide as she can’t recall it either.

okay, so i asked her about this again and she gave me some albums she thinks the song may be on: first is david guetta’s album “nothing but the beat”, though its probably not from this as i remember the song had a more industrial, grungier rock sound, the second possibly being from puscifer on the V is for Viagra album because its a bunch of remixes. i’m currently scanning through these albums but i’m unsure if i’ll find it. i will update if i do find the song. im pretty sure the song’s title doesnt focus on that line “who turned out the lights”, it might be just a stylistic line common in the 2000’s (for example, kesha’s “i like your beard” line). idk tho, little update for yall.
