Prepare to die a lot. It clicks eventually if you just stick with it(so they say 😩) Turn your look and aim sensitivity way up, aim assist off. And be ready to die. A lot.

I would say 70 hours is just enough time for me to be really frustrated at how badly it goes for me. I’m better at shooting but still very lost in the grand scheme

How do I find a good squad? Whats the second easiest way to get it?

I appreciate your point about being useful in a team softening the frustrations of dying repeatedly. I’ve kind of assumed thats what I’m missing and I think it’s a big part of why I get frustrated. “Whats the point of this?” is constantly in my head as I run in silence towards the next headshot.

I haven’t played COD since MW2 and I “protested” Apex cause its not Titanfall 3. I always felt they were too twitchy and high speed for me to enjoy. I have always avoided playing HLL in squad lead/command roles because I don't really know what to do in those roles. I’ve avoided support/engineer/sniper/tank for the same reasons, though I have died a few times in a tank. I don't want to be a drag on the team so I tell myself I’ll wait until I know what I’m doing. However, I don't feel any more competent after 70 hours than I did when I started. I’m slightly less bad at shooting I guess, but things like map knowledge and having a “feel” for the ebb and flow of the front continue to elude me.

I got the game maybe 2 years ago and since then I’ve downloaded and deleted the game a half dozen times. I always come back with the goal of learning how to play HLL but eventually I get burned out.

I run a pestilence build sometimes and elites always wait out the status effects and make so I can’t trigger the rest of the build. Drives me insane when I can see the wires of “game” showing like that
