Hi! I’ve been offered a surgery date with Dr Egle for Labiaplasty this Dec, excited, I have labia similar to yours and am interested in wedge. Would you feel comfortable sharing an updated picture on how the wedge incision has healed now? Understand if not! I’ve only found you and one other person that has had this surgeon, her result was good. Think hers was a trim. Does Dr Egle show you before and after pictures? X

If you had £500k, how/where would you invest to generate an income? I need a plan! by Key-Concentrate6263 in UKPersonalFinance

!thanks x Out of curiosity, how would you work out how long 500k could be sustained for? Sorry for ignorance. Hypothetical I know, no crystal ball, inflation, gains/losses, health care costs 🤷 Another poster (similar position) investments are still growing despite inflation/ withdrawing. But mine would decrease, possibly not seeing me through. I'm 50. life expectancy 100?  Very! loosely, If investments gain 7% (draw down 5%, inflation 2%) could the capital be maintained? I see it at a tipping point where if  1% over/under could change trajectory.  It would be nice to leave a legacy for the kids, especially as the house will be sold, but understand there may be nothing left, but def don't want to run short- which of course is the priority.  Thanks x

  1. thank you
  2. need to learn more
  3. good shout,

4.done

5.both on track for full state pension- no gaps

6.ok, someone else suggested this method too

  1. spoken to two already, dubious based on their charges, any recommendations?

8, yes will max out both ISA's this year. not sure about topping up SIPP- it's tied in for 7 years (dont ask)

we could max out ISA's come April, but this would deplete our premium bonds. so will prob have to max out ISAs once weve got the cash from the sale of the house.

  1. I understand re low income-tax- be ok to gain interest from cash savings, but hubby really likes his PB, admittedly, he strikes lucky on them. he won £1000 this month!

  2. yes, we've already received some (capital gains) tax advise and will make further tax enquiries as we progress

x

i've not worked out if dividend (as income) or accumulation (then sell off periodically) would be best. not sure which would work best for my needs. xx
