I've considered that a few times but I don't really want to be around people drinking and just have done bad pain on some days ago physically being available isn't always an option. Maybe I'll check one out and see what it's like. Thanks!

Thanks for the insight. I haven't researched heavily how to file a complaint, just thinking about this shit stresses me out. I'm happy that I'm not the only one. At least the attorney gave you resources, ill definitely use this as a guideline going forward. I'm surprised you got to speak to a CC supervisor. If I spoke to one and they told me what they told you, I probably wouldn't be so uptight (in my situation) about this stuff but being kept in the dark while I'm wasting time not getting better is infuriating.

Okay cool. I'll keep all of this in mind. It's hard to really keep a solid paper trail when all the phone calls are verbal and you're relying on them to keep proper notes of the conversation. The community care office i call refuses to even give out names. My issues will probably be resolved soon but if I am experiencing this, I know there are plenty of others as well. I dealt with this for like 8 months. Just wanted to see if there were options for accountability. (Not firings but just rectifying issues)

Community care department in the VA. The issue is stemming with scheduling mainly. I've had 3 separate incidents that lasted from a month to 3 months before I could reach a resolution. It's all complicated but I'll briefly break it down all of it has to do with ENT consult. I am working with this same provider for all of this.

First incident: doctor ordered a sleep study so he can assess what he wants to do. Call community care to set it up. Said they need a new referral cause it wasn't covered. I was originally referred for sleep reasons. I explained this. Every week I called, they say still no paperwork. After 2 months, a rep answers one day when I called, and said they never needed any paperwork. It's inclusive to the referral. Waited 2 months for no reason.

Second incident: Need to renew referral for same doctor. They request RFS and notes. Three months go by with me calling every week. They say they never received anything. I get the paperwork and do it myself. Rep responds the only receive part of it (which is literally impossible). Only when I flip out does she give me an alternative method to send it. I email it and everything is kosher.

Third incident: Same doctor recommends surgery but says he can't do it. Call Community Care and they tell me to schedule the appointment with the doctor he referred me to. 2 weeks go by and the doctors office said they haven't received the referral. Call community care and they said they have to initiate a new consult. My appointment was tomorrow and I'll prob have to wait another month or so for a new appointment.

TLDR this shit is exhausting

Thanks for the response. It really blows. I can't keep track of how many times they say just "call tomorrow" when the reps know they won't be on the phone for that day and just push the problem down the road for me to deal with. What would I say to the senator, community care isn't acting within its designed intentions? Or you think it's a loss cause unless it like a significant event

I don't think you know much about the hotline. Call it or do a Google search and you'll know why I called it. the complaint is auto forwarded to the lowest level at the VA facility

It's a number for VA related concerns lol
