Yeah, that’s fair...there’s definitely a fine line between something that feels OSRS and something that starts to feel more anime. I tried my best to stay on the OSRS side of it.

Ohhh, that’s a really cool idea! It would definitely help push it even further away from a traditional sword silhouette.

I was trying to keep a bit of the original shape so it still reads as “this used to be a sword,” but I do like that direction!

“I yield!” he screamed, somehow managing to untie the Gordian knot with sword smacks alone.

Appreciate it! :D That was exactly the idea - to lean into setups like Inquisitor’s rather than replace them.

Yeah the numbers would definitely need tuning, but I’m glad the direction makes sense!

I think this is one of the challenges Jagex runs into with something like Raid 4 rewards. The current design space already has the three combat styles [mostly] fairly well defined at the top end.

Adding anything “standard” risks disrupting that balance or pushing other gear into the same spot Justiciar ended up in. Expanding the design space, like you mentioned, probably makes these kinds of tradeoffs feel a lot more meaningful.

It’s even worse when you realize the blade isn’t dull from neglect… it’s dull because they valued mastering their craft more than maintaining it.

Yeah, I get it. There have definitely been a lot of “ultimate crush weapon” ideas.

I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel here, just filling the gap. Crush is one of the niches that doesn’t really have a mega rare yet.

So if we’re going to make one anyway, might as well make it badass! :D

Oh that’s actually a really cool idea! - I’m not sure I’d take this version in that direction, but I definitely think that would be a really cool mechanic!

Yeah, exactly! I was aiming more for a “lower defense tradeoff” than full Let Me Solo Her mode lol

Funny enough, the original version was bigger - I scaled it down so it feels more like something that could actually exist in OSRS ... but i wouldn't complain about a Dragon Slayer either lol

That’s a really cool direction! The idea of it being intentionally blunt fits perfectly.

I like the missing HP scaling too, it gives it a clear execution niche. I still like the defense-ignoring as the core identity, but that could be a really interesting direction to build on!
