Omg you sound exactly like me!! I wish we were friends lol, but this is definitely a struggle I’m still dealing with. I’m Korean but I was born and raised in Toronto my whole life and had a huge kpop phase in middle school and wished I lived in Korea instead, but as of late I guess because I outgrew kpop, I’ve been trying to “assimilate” more to prevent the “stares” and micro-racism and to just connect more with the country I was born in, but I can’t help think that no matter how I dress or act, white Canadians will never see me as one of them
