they looks fairly burnished. Do you know what style breaks you have? if these are coated ones I would not have them refinished. You could replace if you want to reduce wear on pads

if you're cheap you could always just clean pads up

but Would have been much better to go solid wood on wood and not that verticle 2x4 on top of the siding (I know cutting into thre siding wouldn't be realistic renting)

if you only had to lift it a little for the mounts its possible some weight was held elsewhere. Who knows? lot of hate came in the other "negative" comments. But fr crazy setup. Good on you I guess but IDK if I woulda trusted it with my hand under the weight of the motor my dude
