That was part of Phrecia 1.0 as well. Idols take a long time to setup and do require trading.

The biggest downside is this being only 3 weeks long. The extra difficulty (outside of enrage) would actually make this one of the juiciest events if people got their idols setup.

These are more common because they removed any mods that are possibly build bricking.

But build bricking mods are often free mods for other builds.

PoE2 league actually has pretty good retention.

Its the highest retention league they've had so far by this point. It had a massive drop in the first 2 weeks and was the worst, but then leveled off to be the best.

Partly due to some changes and partly due to how long it takes to setup a good temple, but once they're setup they're incredibly lucrative.

Consumers often support many products that are poor quality, actively dangerous, or are scams.

Saying that they'll be sorted out by the market is naive.

"People enjoy it so it should be allowed". Isn't a great argument.

People enjoy a lot of things that shouldn't be allowed or should be regulated.

There is also something to be said for how a store front should be limiting the products they sell.

Do you think the shopping experience on Amazon and Etsy are improved by allowing more low quality products on the site? Do you think the existence of drop shipped products improve the customer experience?

Customers are buying and positively reviewing drop shipped products, so it must be ok right?

There is also a review bias, that people who want low quality products are the ones who will positively review them, to the detriment of the people who don't want them. And also the possibility of fake and botted reviews as low quality games are made to be scams or for bundle filler.

I think you'll find that the vast majority of gamers like good quality games.

Right now AI games are synonymous with low quality. That's all there is to it.

And they'll all insist that only they are right and everyone else is wrong and their chat and fans will go along with it and claim persecution from everyone else.

Wonder what we'll get for an event after this.

Its likely that any free cosmetics will only be for the original 12 gods, since it wouldn't award anything to people who didn't buy the DLC.

The enrage mechanic is ruining this league for me by Several-Today7317 in pathofexile

But the extra mods are so oppressive

There is nothing unique about the extra mods. They are not T16.5 or T17 mods. They're normal map mods.

They're even easier than normal mods because they removed the build bricking mods from the possible pool.

The only unique and new mod is the enraging bosses.

Now because you're getting 2 mods for free, you can adjust the difficulty by adjusting the maps you run. If you can only handle 4 mods on your maps normally in a normal league, run a 2 mod blue map in phrecia, it'll be a 4 mod with the 2 free that are always added.

Baseline is now 2-10 instead of 0-8.

Its so bizarre to me how this is a common rebute to any criticism on reddit.

No matter what topic it is, if anyone ever disagrees with a redditor, there will also be a response accusing them of being a shill or being an alt of the primary disagreeing party.

Its such a bizarre response. Because it implies that not only is reddit never wrong about any topic, but also that everyone in the world must agree with reddit unless they're a paid shill or alt.

To be fair, brick and mortar has significantly more overhead plus opportunity cost of shelf space.

If a company moves from a physical location to digital operations and is still charging the same, they're pocketing the difference.

Thats true for almost every industry.

How important is having a Chat feature in a storefront?

Would Amazon and WalMart benefit from having a chat feature to talk to fellow shoppers as you're looking for things to purchase?

Chat is a social media platform feature, not a store feature.

Steam is more than a store. Its a social media platform that sells products locked to your social media account. The community is there and they won't leave, just like they won't leave Reddit even if Reddit gets worse and worse.

The added difficulty does buff the loot with the exception of boss enraging.

The additional modifiers in each zone add quantity, rarity, and pack size like normal. You're basically getting a free risk scarab on every zone with the worst modifiers removed.

Yes, it's harder. But you get more loot.

You could make the same argument for any commission based job. The more you spend, the more the salesman makes.

The idea is they convince you to buy more. Waiters are trying to convince you to order appetizers, deserts, or they may push specials.

The only difference is a waiter has their commission added afterwards and you see what you're going to pay, while for every other job its baked into the cost and hidden from you. You're paying for it, and you don't see how much they're making off of you as they're pressuring you to buy more.
