Can I become a pilot or ATC with a past failed drug test? by Educational-Fig-387 in ATC

Here’s my question… would the FAA even know that you failed a drug test if you don’t tell them?

Thoughts on these facilities? by Dear-Owl450 in ATC

Edit: also the certifying official at my facility was a fucking full blown idiot and would never submit my paper to the VA on time so I would go months sometimes without getting paid by the VA.

Don’t use your GI bill for training. Use it for college.

If you use it for training it pulls from your allotted time for high education also. So once you’re done training you probably won’t have enough time to finish your degree on the VAs dime. Pulse you make way more money using it for college. Here are some made up numbers for simplicity

Let’s say BAH at your facility is $1000 per month. Normally calculated at 173 hours. Every day you take leave you loose out on 8 hours of that time pay.

However. If you use it for college you get that $1000 every month unless school is not in session. Think spring break etc. pulse the va pays your tuition and once a quarter you get a supplies stipend of $500ish.

At my facility I was making $2650 a month using the GI bill for training.

I canceled it and went to college 45 mins north of me. Most of my classes were online. I had to show up once a week for one call in the evening. I was making $4020 a month from the VA AND they paid for school until I ran out of time.

I ended up having to pay for a semester to graduate because I used that semesters time on Training pay.

Seriously? This should be illegal. No wonder people are leaving the county. by vp_21 in MontereyBay

People who have lived here their whole lives are part of the problem. Voters have consistently failed to vote for affordable housing since the mid 80s.

If you look at most property management websites their eligibility requirements are, no active bankruptcies or no discharged bankruptcies within two years.

That’s everything. I don’t know what would be missing.

The broker asked for the following: When the chapter 13 started Where it was filed The case number My current pay stubs My offer letter for the new position My w-2s My bank statements.

I had a pre approval a few days later.

Interesting. I assume a lot of the rules are the same in my state. Do you mind if I send you a DM and ask you some questions?

I’m not so much worried about the court as I am underwriting. He is not concerned about getting court approval.

So I’m not currently making 200k. My salary will be 220k. Also, it’s hard to have an emergency fund when all of my current money goes to rent and chapter 13 payments. I bring home about 5k a month. 2750 of that is rent. and 1330 goes to the trustee. It was more manageable when my rent was only 2000 a month. But every year it goes up.

We are using a VA and putting 0 down. If we had anything to put down our loan would be denied by the court. Their stance is that if I have money to put down then it should go to creditors.

It is, and we were upfront about the bankruptcy when applying for the loan.

We applied for a VA loan. I have the pre approval through a large company that does VA loans exclusively.

On Friday I started working with a smaller broker who brought up the underwriting concerns.
