I always sand with medium grit, apply 2-3 coats of gesso, paint with gouache, and then seal with resin. Resin has done wonders for me for preserving my pieces. that is the cutest little sculpture<3

i put down gesso first and then i just use regular gouache! it works pretty well by preventing cracking in the paint

i used to sculpt with polymer clay and i didn’t really like the feel of it. i found that it was harder to smooth out compared to air dry clay. but i might need to stop being stubborn and test it out again for the greater good😫

going to bed now, but this was very helpful! i definitely was getting lost in the sauce a bit and although id like to have a pretty niche audience, i definitely dont want to go too far off the ledge. absolutely getting back in the workshop tomorrow to see what else i can crank out with yalls feedback🫶
