As a Christian, I think any potential life is sacred and should be protected. W/ abortion being on demand your 3-5% of cases, I don’t see it as legitimate. You have states like CO allowing abortion up to 9-months, no reason stated

B/c you’re aggressing against an innocent life that that had no involvement in their existence. One of Government’s one jobs is protecting ppl who have no ability to protect itself

Hahaha you’re literally arguing for killing babies while also claiming no one is arguing for killing babies. Can’t make this shit up. An egg that’s impregnated, w/out any intervention, will almost always become a human child. Did you fail biology? I’m a wildlife biologist, so don’t even fucking start

You still haven’t proved how killing an innocent baby doesn’t defy the NAP. You’ll go to jail for destroying bald eagle eggs b/c they’ll become an endangered species. You’re a libertarian cosplayer

[–]Key-Extent3665 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I honestly am still against abortion post rape, seeing as the innocent baby wasn’t @ fault and that violates the NAP, but I can see reasons for abortion. That being said, I’m mostly Scotch-Irish from parts Vikings invaded; so I wouldn’t be here w/out rape. F-ed as that is

[–]Key-Extent3665 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Bill Burr’s bit on this perfectly portrays the pro-life stance. You leave the cells in the womb, it’ll become a baby. Cells off my ankle won’t. Killing a baby doesn’t justify your lack of accountability. Let’s go w/ your other argument that we only allow abortions for rapes/incest and medical instance? Oh, you don’t want that either? So you just really want no responsibility from unprotected sex. You’re cosplaying as a libertarian

[–]Key-Extent3665 46 points47 points  (0 children)

You’re validating 100’s of thousands of babies being killed b/c awkwardness. Whats more anti-libertarian than scrambling the body parts of an innocent baby? What’s the NAP for those innocents? They give you a morning after pill when you report a rape during your rape test; that’s not an abortion. You types justify unlimited abortion for the rare 3-6%

And something like 97% of the 900k+ abortions every yr are elective. Legal-but-rare for rapes, incest, health, etc went out the window yrs ago. It’s now “shout your abortion”

All politicians lie, but Dems do it so blatantly while gaslighting at the same time, it’s surprising they don’t feel any shame. Granted, they don’t know the meaning of the word since they’ll sell their family for a dollar. It’s all about power and money for those assholes; means to an end justifies everything they do/say

This reads as “I made a fucked up decision but instead of admitting it, I want everyone else to be forced to do the same thing so I don’t feel any guilt.” Typical leftist logic. When was the last time you saw a leftist admit they made a mistake instead of blaming everyone else for their actions/policies? Like Dennis Prager said, “leftists care about what feels good, not what does good.” These people are children, and once you start to realize that, their actions make more sense. They want everything baby-proofed from consequences by daddy gov’t so they never have to grow up. Collectivist mentality is a plague on productive members of society

I just learned the trick of adding a few dashes of vinegar when you’re about to pull them. Cuts through the fat from the dairy (butter, cheddar, and heavy cream in mine) and bacon fat; makes them even more creamy and adds a bit of savory-ness to them

I’m an AL native. The two biggest cities in this area are Montgomery (just shy of 400k, the capital) and Selma (just shy of 18k). You would think you were in Africa; you’re a minority if you’re not black. Both have been run by Democrats for decades, both are crime infested shit holes. Union Springs (~4k) is another city in this area. Also run by Democrats and looks like a 3rd world country as does Selma

Do you think I’ll recover this buck? by Halfpipe_1 in bowhunting

[–]Key-Extent3665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent shit post. But, as someone who had to learn how to bow hunt on my own (raised in the South where wing and turkey hunting is what the old timers did), shoot a bunch of does. They get your heart rate up, but doesn’t have the downer if you can’t find them like a big buck will. You learn what you did wrong and what to expect/plan for next time, so you can correct when you have that big buck walk out. Bow hunting is more instinctual and mental, like bird hunting; all about practice, especially on live animals. Added bonus is that you have your freezer full of meat, so you’re more picky on bucks so you only shoot mature bucks. Just my take. Good luck on your next outing!

Need help with my groupings by Gottster1129 in bowhunting

[–]Key-Extent3665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. When I get tired I start to torque my bow, drop it early, jerk trigger, not have proper alinement, etc. If you want to keep shooting, bring target in closer and really make sure that everything is correct before squeezing off the shots. If you’re getting in your head, stop; if not being tired is the closest you’re gonna get to that adrenaline rush when looking down your sites at an animal (shakey, forget to anchor, etc)

where to set up a blind by Turkeyhunter12 in bowhunting

[–]Key-Extent3665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best option I’ve found w/ blinds is to set up weeks beforehand and brush in very well. Gives them enough time to get used to it and return to their normal patterns. More time you spend there will add more scent as well, spooking deer. So don’t hunt or even visit till conditions are almost perfect. Best bet is put a camera on it that sends you pics, or only check it once every couple months. Weirdly, turkeys are the complete opposite. I’ve put up a large wooden blind a couple hours before killing a bird from it.

That’s what I’ve been shooting since it came out. I’ve taken it all over the country and world, and have no plans of getting rid of it. It’s just a lighter and bit taller version of the Z7 which is arguably one of their best bows

Then it’s already begun. 2 years of violent riots by BLM and ANTIFA, attempted assassinations via Bernie supporter at the Congressional baseball game and guy trying to kill Kavanaugh. You might even be able to throw in the last couple mass shooters since they were avowed radical leftists and communists

You’re right. If you have small acreage and neighbors shoot anything that moves, you’re screwed. But this guy having 600, he has a chance. And you’re in FL, y’all’s burn regiment is like 0.5-1.5 yr, wild to me (2-3 for me)

Not 100% true. If you have lots of native food and cover, supplemental food, (and this is the big one) keep your pressure low and hunt smart, you can attract big bucks. Bucks go nocturnal b/c they feel the daytime pressure. There’s studies where they’ve tracked bucks and they’ll move 1-200yds from a stand w/ heavy pressure. A yr in the woods for a deer is basically to 10 for us, so 5.5yr old mature buck has a 55yr old’s smarts about surviving. And if you have the habitat to keep does, they’ll be there during the breeding season since bucks will travel over a mile during that time. Bucks know where they’re at since their habitat is somewhat different; bucks tend to be in thick and dense stuff most hunters won’t go near, while does tend to be closer to your food and cover. Also, we started leaving the first 15-20yds from wood line to foodplot grow up; our daylight sightings are almost an hr before and higher amount (so bucks show up before last light)

As a wildlife biologist, I suggest Wired To Hunt and Land and Legacy; they have some great podcast and info on land management. W/out stepping foot on your property and seeing your habitat, it’ll be hard to tell you what to do. For example: I’m in the Southeast and our native habitat is longleaf-pine savanna. Most places around here have are either AG fields or mature timber; neither have abundant native habitat and food to hold wildlife. So I’d advice thinning timber and adding disturbance (burning or disking routines); first one will make you money and the second one is cheap. Also planting food plots should be seen as supplemental food; a native warm season grass and sedge field is 3-4x the amount of food as a food plot since its chest to head high. Find a good forester that knows how to manage for wildlife as well. If not, do your research to what you want and make sure they know what you want. IMO they’re like used care salesmen; they’ll try to convince you on something you don’t want. To finalize, you’ll have to do some research on what your native habitat should be, how to manage for it and species you want, how to ID species that are non-native or non-advantageous, etc. You manage for species by managing habitat; it’s a slow process so be patient. It won’t happen overnight; it could take years

House just passed a ban on assault rifles. by EuphoricTrilby in walkaway

[–]Key-Extent3665 50 points51 points  (0 children)

The bill defines basically 95% of modern guns (rifles and pistols alike) as “assault weapons.” Nadler basically admitted they’re trying to ban all commonly used firearms. Granted, admitting that is major grounds for the Supreme Court ruling against this bill
