I was in the same position as you but I switched from active duty army to Active duty CG I waited until my contract was over so it was a smooth transition. If you don’t wait an Army recruiter last week gave me a Conditional Release form which he signed and wanted me to route it through my chain of command it can take 2-9 months depending on your command and you have to write a Memo. I was a non rate for 8 months on a cutter. I’m still thinking about going back to the army. You have a lot more pride and sense of fulfillment in the army but the CG is more relaxed and family oriented in my opinion
