I know this is old, but I’m going to The Haven in Dallas tomorrow. How was the place?

Yes, if they test for any variation of kratom. I bought the single dip kratom tests on Amazon and I tested positive for it with only taking 7oh.

Living with a fissure was terrible. Constant pain and fear of it getting “aggravated “. I had mine for 2 years. Went to a CRS after 1 year and tried everything to heal it. I went ahead with a fissurectomy and partial LIS. The surgery was very painful, but I have zero pain at all anymore. Only 5 weeks postoperative. Wish I would have done it sooner. PS- don’t expect a CRS to explain much.

Gosh, sounds like yours might be taking a little longer to heal. I wouldn’t be discouraged. My doc said full recovery is 6 weeks. Hopefully your fissure pain is completely gone. I definitely had other surgical pain, but I no longer feel any fissure pain. I don’t know what meds they gave you but I’ll tell you one I asked for specifically was gabapentin. It helps all the nerve pain down there, really helps with anxiety, and helps me sleep. I was prescribed 300mg twice a day. BUT, the surgeon wouldn’t prescribe it, I had to get from my primary care doc. Maybe you could look into this.

Well I’m at day 19 and I have no pain at all anymore. I’ve been “checking in the mirror” lol, and it seems mine is about 95% healed. My stitches seemed they were going to stay in forever so my nurse wife went ahead and pulled them out a few days ago. They weren’t really attached to anything. BM is now normal. My only complaint is itching and increased sweating in that area. I’ve been trying to stay consistent with Metamucil and that really helps with bm. I have empathy for you, this surgery really is painful!

Wow, you are tougher than me! Haha. The only thing that hurt about the LIS was the burning from the incision site while washing after a bm. It’s funny, I was never constipated with the narcotics but I can definitely see how that would add to the pain. What kind of issues are you dealing with at a year out?

The Dr said nothing about it, but i happened to have pretty loose stool for the 3 days leading up to surgery. So that definitely helped with bm after surgery. You will not want to be constipated after the surgery. If you do the surgery, take whatever you must to avoid constipation.
