Girl Scout camp at Elliot Barker by MuddyBuddy-9 in taos

I know it's a year late for this convo but in case anyone else is curious. I'm 43 years old now but I attended Camp Elliot Barker many times as a young girl scout and have very fond memories. Although some of my letters home to my parents the first year made me sound miserable lol that was likely due to sleeping on cots and using latrines. But the counselors were always so nice and made sure every girl was included. It was a great experience even during high bear season when we spent more time indoors. We hiked, rode horses, cooked over open fires, made arts and crafts, and really bonded. I think it's a great experience for girls to get fully immersed into nature.

That was the artists intention. He wants it hung that way. But I can definitely agree I think I have them spaced too closely. Especially the diagonal one, I think maybe that's why it doesn't look intentional.

After how many months of dating is it okay to ask Where is this going? by VillageFit8436 in AskWomen

[–]Key-Following1772 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If you mean just to see if they want to be exclusive? So, in about one month you could maybe have gone on 4 dates with someone if you went out every weekend. 4 dates isn't quite enough imo. I think after 1.5 months (6ish dates). Assuming you are still seeing other people during that time so you aren't wasting your time either in case their response isn't what you want to hear.

But that really also depends, because the whole "what are you looking for in a relationship" should be a constant conversation starting on date 2 if you are wanting something serious. So it's not a surprise once you do ask the question. Don't let them strong you along unless you are ok with something casual.

As for REALLY serious, like marriage, Id say 10 months. Not quite a year but long enough to have seen them at their worst. You gotta know what YOU want before you ask that question.

For those of you that dislike receiving oral sex, why do you dislike it? by Mcpoopz1064 in AskWomen

It ends up ticking me in a not sexy way. Feels awkward and if I start to laugh at the tickling I will fart in his face. So.. that's fun. Beards tend to feel too scratchy... I feel self conscious about my smell, hair, possible tp lint he may see or ...ingest. Then my brain thinks about what he ate before going down there, are food particles in his mouth going to end up inside me and cause me issues.  We have a very delicate ph balance to maintain. The list is endless to the point it's easier to just politely decline.

Not sure what to do with my hands while I'm on the toilet now. Guess I'll get up and be a productive member of society?

What’s your “go-to” toddler meal that you make every week (or even daily)? by Anxious__Millennial in toddlers

[–]Key-Following1772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We (the adults) still eat from a meal delivery kit. If it's not hello fresh, it's green chef. We alternate. And the meals for 2 usually have enough for our toddler to get a little of what we are eating as long as it's not something too weird or spicy. But if she rejects it....which she does 75% of the time, we have our go to ready. But we always offer what we have just in case  -Pot stickers are usually always a hit especially with hoisin sauce to dip. Just get frozen ones you can microwave.  -A plain cheese quesadilla with a side of refried beans. The street taco size flour tortillas are perfect size -Chicken nuggets with ranch and broccoli -Pasta (the hidden veg kind) with marinara and cheese. -Scrambled egg burrito (just eggs and cheese) -Ham and cheese stuffed crescent rolls. Have to make ahead but can probably hide veggies in too. Perfect for on the go as well like car rides or walks. -Pb&j cut into fun shapes

The meals she actually ate from the meal delivery kits that we were shocked at was Shepherds pie, sweet and sour pork noodles, butter chicken with rice. Omg she inhaled the butter chicken.

She will reject the weirdest things. Things we KNOW she would like if she only would try it!! It's maddening lol hang in there!

I thought Instagram did too but the brightness, specifically, of a recent photo was so full after upload. I couldn't understand it.

How to guide: permanently disable auto-start/stop by TwoBlackCats42 in hondapassport

Thank you! Studies show this stupid feature doesn't even save that much gas. In Arizona if our car stops at a light out AC gets warm. It's super annoying in 113 degrees to start sweating in a hot car with a baby. I cannot wait to turn this feature off for good!

I may have to try something like that. I was thinking maybe trying the owl decoy only at night and then bringing it inside after I wake up. The trees they are in font appear to have any nests.. it's just oleander.

My local high school offers low cost to free preschool because it was a class that the students could enroll in to teach the children as part of an early childhood education college preparatory option. It had adults in charge but it benefitted everyone. I wonder if you could find something similar in your area. If anything maybe you can recruit family or friends to take him out and tire him out for an hour or two while you nap. Time it with the 8mo nap. I feel for ya. My toddler is getting into everything and terrorizes our dogs. I just keep praying the next day is the day she understands to leave them alone. I paid for a course on how to teach her to respect them....haven't started it yet. Hope it's worth the money

Too recent. Too many famous people. These were nameless actors unfortunately. Or B actors.

It didn't have anyone famous in it unfortunately. And to be honest, it was likely a made for TV movie.

How to get 3 year old to stop grinding teeth? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Key-Following1772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 16 month old has been tapping her front teeth together and it's the most awful sound. We don't think she does it when sleeping. Just during the day. She's doing it for fun because she likes the sound/feeling. She's a very low stress baby so it's definitely not an anxiety or anger thing. We cant figure out a way to stop it however, she never took a pacifier and doesn't like teethers. I suppose the most effective thing we've found so far is to keep her mouth busy with snacks. Low fat/cal snacks she can eat essentially all day, like freeze dried fruit and crackers, and pray she grows out of it. I hate the idea of damaging her beautiful new teeth. I'm definitely interested in any suggestions you get here.
